1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Body: Restored approximately 1997. Fenders & Doors replaced. Genuine GM cowl induction hood added. Painted with 8 coats of base and 6 coats of clear. SS badges, rear bumper, & grille added around 2004. Interior: Restored around 1997. New headliner, carpet, & upholstery except on bucket seats. Bucket seats re-upholstered September 2010. Guages, B&M shifter added around 1998 and dash pad replaced as well. Also re-wired. Panasonic stereo, Polk dash speakers, & Jensen 4-way rear speakers added around 2000. Suspension: stock, restored around 1997. Air shocks in rear (valve in trunk). Driveshaft shortened and rear differential built with full Strange spool, GM axles, & Richmond 4.11:1 gears around 2000. Engine: 1971 350 4-bolt main block bored .060 & deck plated. Forged steel GM standard crank. 300 double hump cylinder heads, 64cc chamber, shaved .010, 5 angle valve job, port & polish built at engine shop. SRP forged flat-top .060 pistons. Clevite main bearings, rod bearings, & cam bearings. Comp Cams 292H camshaft 244/244 501/501. GM 5.7 rods reconditioned. Pete Jackson "noisy" gear drive with cam thrust button. Comp Cams black finish 3/8" pushrods. Moroso valve guide plates. Manley 2.02 / 1.90 valves. Comp Cams lifters. Comp Cams dual spring valve springs. Summit Racing screw-in rocker studs. Comp Cams Magnum roller rockers 1.6:1. ARP fasteners throughout. Melling high volume oil pump w/ welded pick-up. Moroso 7-qt oil pan. MSD 6A ignition, Blaster coil, ACCELL Super-conductor wires, Autolite plugs. GM HEI distributor w/ Accel curve kit. Chevrolet script tall aluminum valve covers, polished. Chrome pulley kit, chrome brackets. Lokar flexible oil dipstick. Hi-torque mini-starter. Battery moved to trunk. Premium alternator. Engine built around 2003, freshened over winter 2009-2010. Fuel and Exhaust: Holley "Blue" fuel pump, adjustible regulator w/ nitrous ports. Jeg's liquid-filled guage. K&N chrome housing and filter. Holley 750 dual-feed double-pump with street/strip tune (choke horn milled). Hooker Super Competition large-tube headers, 3" collectors & dual luminized pipes, dual Flowmaster mufflers with turn-downs. Transmission: TH350 built for street/strip with shift kit, B&M Supercooler, B&M rachet shifter, B&M 9" stall converter 3500 RPM.(Information above is supplied by previous owner who built the car) Engine dyno specs: 493 HP / 497 TQ @ 6200 RPM, 547 HP / 550 TQ w/ 1" carb spacer. 10.8:1 compression. (I have not verified not tested on the dyno myself) Speedometer shows original miles from the original engine, not the modified 350 which was added.Does need tires :)There is a smaller dent on the top corner roof where a tree branch hit is a few years ago. I do have photos of that which I can supply as well. Also, there are a couple small bubbles under the paint, but very minimal.
