This was my daily driver a 1981 VW pickup up till a few months ago when it started not wanting to start. Everything seemed to point to the fuel injection pump so sent that to be rebuilt. Installed rebuilt injection pump, checked the compression which passed so did the timing, replaced glow plugs and glow plug relay and still no start.Now off with head and it appears new rings and pistons are in order. More than I can handle time permitting so now looking to sell. The shock towers have the usual rust but they have been reinforced with rough stock welded in. Interior is in good shape no rips/tears etc the body is pretty straight with faded paint and areas of rust. Newer parts include: - Rebuilt Bosch Fuel Injection Pump - Installed but never used.- Water Pump- Glow Plugs and relay- Timing Belt On Jan-29-13 at 15:03:21 PST, seller added the following information: The actual Mileage of the vehicle when it stopped running was 284k.
