1979 PONTIAC TRANS AM. FENDER TAG SAYS Y84. T-TOPS. AUTOMATIC.BLACK VINYL INTERIOR.VERY SOLID CAR. RUNS AND DRIVES ANYWHERE. HAD A REPAINT IN 1996. PREVIOUS OWNER LIKED THE BLUE BIRD BETTER THAN THE GOLD. ENGINE APPEARS TO BE A 400 BUT I AM NOT SURE WHAT YEAR. EDELBROCK INTAKE AND CARB.HEADERS. HIGH PERFORMANCE IGNITION.REMOTE OIL FILTER. PS.PB. POSITRAC REAREND. FRONT AND REAR SWAYBARS. DASH IS CRACKED BADLY FROM SUN. HAS HAD A NEW CARPET PUT IN IT BUT THAT WAS 16 YEARS AGO. CAR IS LISTED LOCALLY ALSO. THIS IS NOT A SHOW CAR AND IS NOT PORTRAYED IN ANY WAY AS SUCH. PLEASE BID ACCORDINGLY.On Jan-28-13 at 20:15:18 PST, seller added the following information: This bird can be driven but does need some TLC. It starts right up runs and shifts fine although it is loud. Breaks seem to work fine. Paint is okay. It needs a good machine buff and polish to shine. Its not show paint but would be great as a daily driver. There is a small rust hole in both rear floorpans . They are not horrible but I dont want anybody to have any surprises. The shaker sits on and open element air cleaner. Previous owner lost the bottom part. It seems to do fine sittng on it but I would find a factory base for it. Bottom line is this car could be great with some effort and time. Thanks for bidding.
