Vehicle Detail
1972 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Regency For your consideration: a low mileage unmolested 1972 Oldsmobile 98 Regency. I am selling this car due to shifting priorities. I am busy attempting to complete my PhD. As such, I do not have any time to devote to my collector cars; of which I had 15 until very recently. This is a one owner car, I have all the original documentation-the car is still titled in the original owner's name. I purchased it out of the estate of the 93 year old owner who died. I can leave the title this way, or transfer it, whichever the high bidder prefers. The title is clean/clear and open. I used the car with an antique plate when I was driving it. The good: No reserve auction, high bidder gets the car. This Oldsmobile has 81k original careful miles, by it's mature gentleman original owner, who only used the car for long trips. Straight, original, complete, rust and collision free. All electric functions work well, the stereo sounds really good, windows are fast, a/c works cold, cruise works, etc. The car drives solid, tight, reliably, and sure footed. This car has never given us a lick of trouble! I don't presently drive the car daily (it is not in a driving rotation), however I drove it 10 miles this morning to ensure that everything operates as it should-it does. The skinny: I did not take glamour pictures, nor am I going to write an elaborate BS laden story about the value of collector cars being in color, blah, blah. The color of this particular Oldsmobile is called "Tiffany Gold," and is quite striking on a sunny day. The car wears its factory finish-with no rust issues-although the pass side fender skirt does have a spot of corrosion, and there are numerous tiny scratches as you would expect an original 1972 paint job to have. There are two shopping cart type dings on the car, one on the front drivers side fender up high right above the side marker light , the other is located on the driver's side rear "fin," up high. They did not show well in the pics, but they are present. Also, there are numerous tiny rock chips on the nose of the car-I'm sure they can be nicely touched up. If you want perfection the car would need repainted. As it is, with a top notch detail job you would have a high end driver and a car that looks perfect driving down the road. The vinyl top is perfect and without the slightest trace of any rust beneath. The interior looks showroom new. This car deserves a better home-where someone will lavish the elbow grease and attention on it that it deserves! I literally have never done anything other than run it through a drive through car wash several hours before the pictures that you see were taken. I bought this car because it is in great shape, runs/drives great and looks like a rolling cathedral. The car has never been detailed or cleaned up-I just used it as is. In closing: Bid with confidence to own this beautiful car, from a time when America really built cars. I don't know if you will find another with this low mileage, in a great state of preservation, at this price point and ready to drive. I have sold several of my collector cars on eBay; if you doubt my sincerity, read my feedback, or refrain from bidding. This is a great opportunity to acquire one of these at a bargain price! Good Luck! Don’t hesitate to ask questions. High bidder wins... .
