1968 Dodge Charger 383 HP, original floor console car, low miles, AC car, matching numbers, factory build sheet , 2 owner car !! Here is a rare opportunity!!!!! Up for sale is my 1968 Dodge Charger show car, with all original matching numbers 383 engine (HP code), and original 727 torqueflight auto transmission. I am the second owner of this charger ! VIN # XP29H8G251027 Excellent restoration and meticulously finished. The majority of my car is ORIGINAL. Alot of the original parts on my charger are restored and preserved on the car for originality (instead of replacing with aftermarket parts). My charger was garaged most of its life and very well preserved even before restoration. For example, the parts that I did replace on my charger (due to minor pitting) such as outer door handles , I have kept and stored away in my garage, and are all included in this auction with the sale of my charger. Also, included in auction is the original factory set of 4 original 14 inch Chrysler wheels and hubcaps. Body- Beatifully restored body and extremely straight, with fantastic paint job! I get attention and compliments where ever I go in my charger!!! Body, frame, trunk, floorpans all 100% SOLID! The Undercarriage of my charger (see pics listed ) shows clean solid painted METAL! Not full of undercoater hiding rust. All the body numbers match on the radiator support, engine block, transmission, fender tag, factory buildsheet, and the VIN tag. Headlights work perfectly ! Headlight doors are factory vacuum operated and open and close properly. Gas tank is new. Replaced gas tank mainly to ensure that the fuel is clean before running into freshly rebuilt carb. . My Charger is ready to go to any car show. Suspension- Most of the suspension is new. All New tie rods, new idler arm, new pitman arm, new upper and lower ball joints, new shocks (front and rear), new brakes, new wheel bearings, new sway bar links/bushings, new universal joints, new wheel studs on all wheels . Drivetrain- Original 383 HP engine; original 727 torqueflight auto transmission Original 8 ¾ rearend Engine and transmission have had thorough professional maintenance, tune up, new seals and gaskets, and completely gone through. Engine runs strong!!! Like new. Engine block number/stamping (located on top of engine near firewall) matchs car’s vin number . Transmission shifts perfectly!!! Carter AVS 4 barrel carb is original and professionally rebuilt/restored. Power steering pump was rebuilt/restored. Car runs and drives EXCELLENT! Fun to dive and is a very FAST car! This Charger is so road worthy, you could drive this car across the entire country! The factory original counter weight on tail of transmission is still intact on my charger (very rare ) . Pic included in auction. The starter motor on my charger is the factory original starter motor! Pic of starter is listed in auction. Also, as you can see in engine bay pic, my air cleaner is also original along with original air cleaner lid “wingnut” . “383 decal” on air cleaner lid is Original. Windshield wiper fluid reservoir is original ( a little faded and dirty, but original). Original decal on radiator support. In essence, my car has been in good caring hands since the day it was purchased brand new in 1968! Unlike a lot of older muscle cars, some teenager never got ahold of this car and started doing modifications to it and tearing the car apart! Interior- The black interior is restored to immaculate condition. original thumbwheel AM radio original center floor console original ralley dash original door panels original factory air conditioning (currently AC does not blow cold air) original steering wheel (and the horn does work) original and complete seat belts throughout charger original seats in car ( original front buckets and original rear seats) The front bucket seats were recovered due to a few slight tears in seats. Back seats original and never recovered (no rips or tears). All lighting works as it should such as dome light, courtesy lights , dash lights, taillights, break lights, head lights, side markers, liscense plate light. Rally gauges work excellent, as well as the Tic toch tac ! Even the clock inside the tach unit works (very rare to have original clock still working)!!!!! Carpet is new. Battery is new. Weatherstrips are new. Exterior chrome/trim- Front and rear Bumpers and bumperettes are like NEW All exterior trim /window trim is factory original and in excellent condition!!!!! All 4 Wheel well moldings are all factory original and in Excellent condition! Extrerior door handles are brand new Wheels- 15 inch aluminum centerline wheels Original wheels and hubpcaps- included in auction is the original factory set of 14 inch chrysler rims and hubcaps (all original to my charger). You are getting 2 sets of wheels with my charger. Trunk- inside the trunk has a new vinyl trunk mat installed. Also, The Original factory bumper jack/ jack handle/ spare tire hold down is all intact in the trunk along with spare tire (spare tire rim is also original to car). Odometer- 67,418 original documented miles. I have a clean and clear Indiana title (titled in my name) to my Charger. Absolutely NO ZERO feedback bidders. I will cancel your bid.
