Purchased both 2005 Chrysler Crossfire and 2006 Dodge Charger at auto auction for project. Crossfire had engine damage, with only 3,400 miles, and Charger was a rollover, with 2,600 miles. Charger strut towers, K-Frame and frame rails were welded into the Crossfire due to motor size. Engine would not fit with Crossfire towers and frames. The Crossfire suspension was in the way of everything. When you lift the Crossfire hood, you see more Charger features than Crossfire. The Charger radiator has also replaced the Crossfire radiator. Wheels are Crossfire. I had to have the front wheels machined to enable the use of the Charger hubs. They were re-drilled for the Crossfire bolt pattern. Front and rear brakes are Crossfire. The overall width of the Charger suspension is approximately two inches (2”) wider than the Crossfire suspension. To accommodate this difference so the wheels would not exceed the fenders, I widened the front fenders to keep the car looking stock. The Exhaust consists of both Crossfire and Charger. The Transmission is Crossfire. I only had to change the Bell Housing. Hotwire Auto took the entire wiring harness and programmed it so the Crossfire and Charger could communicate with each other.
