Bug is a blast to drive as is. no one in the area does not look at the car as you drive by! It is unique! bug was recently trailered to a mech shop and t-boned in an intersection. car was flipped upside down and ruined the body. pan is good and car runs very well. test ride is available and you will be very happy (no really...VERY happy) with the performance. I may be just too old to build up another car, so I am looking to sell my baby. we have owned the bug for 20 years. I have full docs on everything in or on the bug. many pics available b4 the accident. check out the pics and see if this might be the build you are looking for. would love to see this go to a good home...........of course there is a salvage title, but does it really matter. I bought the car back and title is in my name and ready to sell. Just a little more info: bug was upside down for about two hours. the tow guy flipped it back up and hauled it off. when it came back to me, the tow driver placed it in my driveway. I started it up and backed it into the garage. A little motor info: 1914 was built 7 years ago. all new Mexican block and heads, stock German crank, have no info on the cam or clutch but have been very happy with both. case halves have been clearanced for side to side oil flow (oil light has never come on during a hard corner). alternator, no gen! twin dellortos. Car is driven at most on the week ends...very low mi. on the motor. has oil filter (remote). Front end has an adjustable height and disc brake unit. tires are in good shape. 1969 pan has fuel door and IRS rear suspension. Kenwood Stereo KRC-803 with Power Acoustik Amp. two 10 inch speakers under the pkg. tray. front and back hoods are '66.
