Up for auction is the one of the rarest of all MINI models, an Italian built MINI Innocenti, the real ITALIAN JOB. These MINI's were only produced for 2 years by INNO of Italy and then for two more after INNO's purchase by Leyland Motors for a total of 4 years. Innocentis are easily recognizable as they are the only MINIs ever produced with venting/smoker's windows. The Innocenti 1300's were built to Cooper spec's.I love this car and hate to sell it but we're moving again and the wife has forbiddeb me from bringing it. My loss is your gain. This MINI starts and runs well. The body is in decent condition. There is some surface rust around some window sills and at the bottom of the doors. There is one small rust through hole on the rear below the boot. I have tried to show everything in the pics. The floorboards will need to be replaced. I bought replacements that have not been installed. I will include one of them, the other was left at a repair garage some time ago and has been lost. I think the floorboards are the only metal to be replaced, the rest should be easily repaired with some sanding and a bit of Bondo. The wheel flares will need some work also. The roof has a vinyl covering which will need to be removed and/or replaced. I just replaced the points, plugs, and distributor cap and reset the timing. The battery was new in September. In the past 1000 miles, the brake pads were replaced, the brake calipers were rebuilt, the solenoid was replaced. Fixed a vacuum leak and replaced idle air control valve. Also replaced a C.V. joint. She does leak oil. The distributor has been updated to a 25d. The spin-on oil filter conversion has been added. It is fitted with 10" Revolution Mag wheels. It has a pop-up sunroof that does not leak. It has a working power antenna fitted to a Blaupunkt Cassette Radio with two rear mounted Pioneer speakers. The steering wheel is a red leather-wrapped Mountney. The guages are the original Italian guages except for the clock which has been replaced. The speedo does not work, I think it's just the cable but I'm not sure. The mileage is obviously unknown due to broken speedo. The rear window wiper works but the front wipers need a new motor. The driver's door needs the window winding mechanism replaced. Please feel free to ask any questions, I will answer to the best of my ability. I want her new owner to be happy and love her like I do. I really have enjoyed this MINI. It is my fourth mini and by far my favorite. This MINI is great as an in-town daily driver now, and with a little body work and a paint, she could be a real beauty.
