HERE IS A VERY CLEAN AND EXTREMELY WELL PRESERVED EXAMPLE OF A GREAT CAR BEAUTIFUL 1978 OLDS CUTLASS The name plate Cutlass is almost synonymous with the Oldsmobile brand name. Throughout the years, General Motors offered many editions of the Oldsmobile Cutlass. The 1978 model was among the most significant. The 1978 Cutlass was the first "downsized" Cutlass. Concerns about fuel economy caused GM to shorten the A-body chassis that was used for manufacturing the Cutlass. The Cutlass wheelbase dropped 4 inches to a length of 108 inches. In 1978, the Cutlass line featured taillights which had a lighted Oldsmobile rocket logo in the center. This is an extremely clean 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass. It has a great running oldsmobile V8, it is 260 cu 4.3L. Powerful but not a gas guzzler. The interior is very clean and original. The exterior is the original paint in great condition. It starts without hesitation and runs very smooth. Transmission is smooth and it is very comfortable. There is no rust on the body. It is a CA car and I bought it from a friend of mine in AZ when I first bought this car. I have owned the car for about 3 years now and most if not all of the time it sat in my covered storage with fuel stabilizers and battery tender. I have driven this car for a few times. But I have started it once a week and moved it around. It passed the smog in CA without any problems. That goes to show how original the car is and what a good condition it is in. No body-work was done on this car as far as I know. It is an extremely clean example of a very good looking car. The colors are great. The engine bay is nice and clean. The glass is clean and nice. The dash board has no cracks. Plenty of life left on tires.
