Almost $20K invested! It adds up fast. The reserve is RIDICULOUSLY LOW. So do not be afraid to start bidding! Must sell. I likely will not recoup a dime that I invested in this bike. So be it. As long as it finds a good home. I can confidently say that this is the finest example of a CBR 1100XX in North America. It is perfect in every respect. DO NOT LET THE MODS SCARE YOU AWAY. ALL of them make the bike SAFER, more COMFORTABLE, and EASIER TO RIDE. All the mechanical work(i.e.shock install, muffler refit, brake rotor replacement) has been gone over with a fine tooth comb by the premier repair shop in my area(name and number on request). They did ALL the electrical work since that is an area that is always a problem with DIY customs. Bike has over 2K shake down miles with PERFECT RELIABILITY, MECHANICALLY AND ELECTRICALLY. It is operating far FAR better than it did when it was brand new. Read on WHY. Let me tell you what we have here. A COMPLETELY refurbished and customized 1999 Honda Blackbird CBR 1100XX with year 2000 Glory Red body panels.Tank is from year 2000 bike with fresh clear coat so any paint is OEM. I like red! There has been no color re spray. Panels come from Japan pre painted and clear coated(best paint I have ever seen! FLAWLESS!) It is fuel injected, no carburetors! MOTOR: has 33k miles, NOT a lot for one of these Hondas kept with synthetic oil. Ring seal is perfect. Not a single drop of oil gets burned. There is NO oil loss between oil changes. Not even a little. It is stock other than a Honda Fuel pressure regulator from 2005 model. This makes for a much better mid range. There is a Power Commander under the seat tuned perfectly. Dyno'd at 145rwhp. Air filter: High performance panel filter.New. Electronics: Power Commander. Tach and Speedo have adjustable illuminated colored back grounds. Added GEAR indicator. Speed Heal device to synch with any sprocket combo for accurate speed reading. Headlights: High and low beams are HID bright white for maximum visibility. No blue tinge.German ballasts are under warranty. They really light up a dark back road. Clutch: All new plates, both steel and fiber. New springs. Modified to give a MUCH better progressive take off than stock.New fluid in master cylinder. Red anodized lever. Electrics: Wired for cigarette lighter plug. All electrics have been completely gone through by a professional shop in the area with top reputation: Cycle Race Tech. Chain: New D.I.D 530 ZVM-X (costs 165usd!). Properly riveted and staked by professional shop. Radiator: Removed and refurbished, fins straightened, painted. Oil Cooler: Removed and refurbished, fins straightened, and painted. New SS oil lines. Electric Cooling Fan: new added just in keeping with general refurbishing of cooling system. Coolant: High performance ICE coolant used. Brakes: EBC high performance H compound. New custom wave rotors with body color matching trim. New Motul fluid in master cylinder.Red anodized lever. Tires: OEM size 120x17 front and 180x17 rear. Dunlop Sportmax 02 with plenty of life. Battery: New Oct 2012. Smart charger tagline installed and Smart Charger included in sale. Rear Shock: Custom Penske Four Way Adjustable. High and low speed compression. Rebound. Preload. Length is adjustable too. Stability at high speed is incredible. See NOTE at bottom of this description. Foot Pegs: Gilles CNC gold anodized rear sets. Ball bearings. Very expensive. Custom sure grip pegs.Rear red anodized custom pegs. Handlebars: Gilles tooling adjustable. Gold anodized. Seat: Custom gel from England. Red piping. Cost 700usd. Windshield: German aftermarket. Adjustable to deflect air for up to tallest riders. Body panels: Currently ALL panels are brand new. They are the VERY expensive OEM Honda panels that cost a small fortune. This bike came to me with bad Chinese aftermarket body work.The bike has only been dried with compressed air, so no scratches except the front fender which is pure unpainted but clear coated Carbon Fiber. It has a small crack not easily visible. Undertray: Mototech under tray added that fits well. It has its own ballasts for the rear turn signals. It looks and works great. Chroming: A few key pieces like the passanger foot peg brackets, and all the "Franknebolts" which are the long bolts that you use to attach cargo netting to. Exhaust Downpipes: SS from Delkevic. Much more open. Bike breathes much easier. Mufflers: Micron dual. Inside of mufflers and inside of all exhaust connection tubes are coated with ceramic to prevent discoloration. High polish on pipe exteriors. Exhaust tone is deep and powerful. Sliders: Professionally installed. Heavy duty Delrin. I have RE GEARED the bike so it beats most Hayabusas up to 175MPH. There is a stock front sprocket and a 47(oem is 44/45) rear. So it is not extreme, but 6th gear now is a PASSING gear instead of just an overdrive. You can still TOUR with the bike, the empahasis more on SPORT than Touring. Only 45usd to put a stock sprocket and remove a few links from the chain. You will probably NOT want to do this once you have ridden the bike. There is a speed adjuster that will make the speedo give PERFECT speeds no matter what sprockets you use. You adjust it on the road using a GPS. The DISPLAY of the Tach and speedo pod are improved. I inserted a special overlay with a dimmer AND a switch for different colors at night. It LOOks and WORKS great! I even have a switch to disable it during the day. The ENTIRE fuel system has been completely disassembled and all gaskets, filters, PRE filters have been renewed. The fuel LEVEL float has been adjusted to be more accurate. Tasteful VERY RARE, REAL Carbon Fiber overlays have been added to the fuel tank cap. Theses are ONLY available from overseas. The tank has been re clear coated and polished to a MIRROR finish. NOTE: The PENSKE black cylinder mounted over the Micron Muffler is the REMOTE OIL RESERVOIR and houses extra oil, the two compression and single rebound adjustments. The shock BODY and SPRING is completely dialed in, but is hidden deep in the motorcycle. The reservoir is offset and insulated from the muffler and never gets warm. I checked. The mufflers never get very hot either due to the internal ceramic coating. Comfort: The rear shock handles the worst broken pavement with ease. The forks soak up the bad bumps too just fine. I saw no reason to work on the forks. I modernized the seat with a custom one from the UK with red piping and GEL inside. This seat is amazingly comfortable(cost me 700usd). The SHIFTER AND BRAKE PEDAL are works of ART. Very expensive. Gilley Tool from Germany. Gold anodized, ball bearings and fully adjustable. I have GILLEY TOOLING handlebars too. They are a nice custom touch. While this bike is visually stunning, it is designed to be ridden long and hard with no complaints. It is easy to clean and maintain. It is rigidly STRAIGHT and TRUE. It tracks 100% perfectly straight with hands off the bars. ROCK SOLID at 175MPH. Not even a tiny shiver. I attribute the Penske rear shock to much of the great handling of this machine. Bike comes with a TON of spare parts, fasteners and extras. Some mods never installed like a set of gold anodized screens etc. Problems: Every single function and feature works. Never an F1 trouble code. There are some small scratches on the windshield where it scraped a chain link fence during parking. There is a small crack on the Carbon Fiber front fender not easily visible. There are wear marks on the frame. There is a scratch on the left muffler near the clamp.
