This freshly restored Toyota has spent its entire life in the hot dry climate of the beautiful Southwest. This highly documented vehicle comes out of the stable of Classic 4x4 Co in Las Cruces, New Mexico, who specializes in FJ40s. This FJ40 has had the same owner for the last 33 years. It comes with original owner's manual, original purchase order and original owner's guide. There is also a copy of the original certificate of title from 1978 and the original Toyota canvas tool kit. The drive train starts with the original 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission. This particular year model comes with power disc brakes, which makes these later model FJs even more desirable. The interior is all original and even has the factory AM radio, which still works. All lights, blinkers, wipers and heater are also in working order. Some of the items replaced include: all new window moldings and gaskets, new weather stripping, all blinkers and tail lamps, all badges and emblems. The exterior was stripped down to bare metal, where there lie a completely damage and rust free tub that can only be found in this part of the country. It was then refinished with the original sky blue color and done to perfection. This FJ40 is not a hacked up vehicle with a fresh coat of paint, which is often found on Ebay. Instead it is a vehicle that has been extensively gone through with nothing overlooked. The end result is a vehicle that can be driven anywhere you want and still get you back home.
