This rat rod is powered by a 350 Chevy and has a turbo 350 trans that's controlled by a long Lokar shfter. It has a early Weiand tunnel ram intake and 2 Carter AFB carbs for that ultra-cool 60's look and awesome performance whenever you decide to lean on the "GO" pedle!! It's cooled by a custom-made 4 core radiator and NEVER runs over 180 degrees. The grill shell is off a 60's Farmall M tractor. The dash has all the gauges you'll need to keep an eye on things up front, but the speedo is inoperative. The body was channelled 7 inches over the frame. I think the only rust you'll find on the body is the lower/rear 6 inches of the driver's door, but the rest of the truck is very straight. It has glass windows all the way around, with a new 'shield. The rear end is the original 35 Ford banjo unit that has the typical banjo howl to it and transverse single leaf spring rear suspension. NOTE: Since these photos were taken I welded a late-40's Ford tailgate on the truck that rally makes it look good. And yep - those ultra-cool lakester headers really do open up, but if you don't want to annoy the crap out of the neighbors, or cops you can cap 'em up and shoot the fumes right out the back end, through a nice-sounding dual exhaust system. Unlike a lot of rats that don't have any way to check the gas level in the tank it has a really cool old brass sight gauge on the tank, so you don't run out of gas. And YES - it does have turn signals and they work great!! As you can see it has new tires on it too. So.......get in, sit down, shut up and hold the hell on, because this bad boy will kick some serious butt!! We alkso relocated the battery to the right side of the gas tank so you can get to is a LOT easier than where it was before and added all new battery cables to it. I also painted the inside of the bed and tail gate flat black, as a start to repainting the entire truck. I always thought a rat rod should be flat black. The truck will have a brand new battery in it when you come to pick it up. I just don't want you to be surprised when you come to pick it up.
