1965 STUDEBAKER WAGONAIRE COOLEST STATION WAGON EVER!! BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED RUST FREE CALIFORNIA STUDEBAKER 283 2V 'CHEVYBAKER' V-8, AUTO TRANNY, PS, PB WORKING COLD AC! (NONE OF THIS.. 'IT JUST NEEDS A CHARGE' BS) I purchased 2 years ago from a collector car dealership out of california. Car had recently had full restoration (as usual with dealers, i was promised all the parework, etc... but it never came)... regardless.. this has to be one of the nicest 65 wagonaires out there.. (definitely on the East Coast). everything works.. had to put in a new iginiton switch.. but all gauges, light cluster, outside lights, brake lights, etc work great. I have not drven car much over the past year. When I first got it, drove it like a daily friver.. no issues what so ever. However, i have let the car sit in my garage for about 8 months and it needs some attention to the fuel .... car runs fine.. but i believe carb needs to be rebuilt.. or at least cleaned out...gas is stale and it seems to run a little rough as of late. It takes a minute to 'warm up' and engine needs to be warm before driving , or it stalls when you put on the brake.. starts right back up... but the gas needs to be flushed out. all glass is perfect... all window regulators work smooth and easy. rear window glass and crank work perfect and smooth! (I have a spare nos rear window crank(lock) that goes with wagon. SLIDING ROOF WORKS GREAT.. AS DOES LOCK MECHANISIM... NO RUST ON RAILS... PERFECT SEALS... AND YES , I AM GOING TO SAY IT.. IT DOES NOT LEAK!!!!! (AT LEAST THE ONE TIME I HAD IT OUT IN THE RAIN)........ BUT SERIOUSLY THERE IS NO SIGN OF ANY PREVIOUSLY LEAKING, DAMAGE, REPAIR, ETC. IT'S JUST A SUPER NICE, COOL WAGON. all bright work and paint is exceptional. car really is a #2 show car. please check my feedback.. i have purchased and sold several collector cars over the past 12 years on Ebay with 100% feedback. I also have some super cool dog dish 'S' studebaker caps that go with wagon (picked them up at Hershey last fall).... i think they look really cool with the red steel wheels and wide whites... but hey , that's your choice! I am a private collector, not a dealer... but am just weaning out the collection. I have 2 kids in high school... i don't drive the car, and no reason to let it sit and rot. I paid 15k for the car... and i was thrilled with it.. i think i pad the right price... the body, interior is as nice as you are EVER GOING TO FIND! ENGINE HIGHLY DETAILED. FLOOR PANS CLEAN ENOUGH TO EAT OFF OF (although I would not suggest it :) ) I need the garage space... As for those who ahve inquired as to the buy it now... i had listed it on the auction at 9.9k. I was hoping for a 'quick sale' .... no none hit the 'buy it now'.. and it has crept beyond that. obviously, i will let the market bare what the Stude is worth.... the chance was here to buy it at 9.9 and no one took it. (but it may be again... who knows.) to answer some genral questions.... the pix are from last year... but i promise there are absolutely no changes with the condition on the car, cosmetic or otherwise. (except for the gas issue) yes all the window regulators work very smoothly. the engine has smoked when started as late.. but only water vapor... no carbon, or blow by... no blue smoke, etc... blows clear after a minute.. and on startup after initial startup. Yes, i am a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club.... I am in the Keystone Chapter. my last name is Aufd....... you can look it up from there to confirm. (4 people asked me about that!) I do NOT have any 'marti' report, or any original paperwork/ buildsheets, etc from South Bend, Canada. it IS NOT a fully documented car... all I have is what I described in the auction description. I think the last week has really bought that home. ... Look, I know the economy is tough, i know with all the Barrett Jackson, and mecum auctions, etc, there has been an onslaught of curbstoners / shady dealers ripping people off. This is an honest car. it is truely as nice (I think nicer) than what you see. I have always taken pride in describing my 'stuff' honestly, if not downgrading it a bit.
