2001 Honda Odyssey EX Low Miles Needs Transmission Rebuilt! The great: This Honda Odyssey is in great condition with the exception of the transmission. Has all power locks, power windows, dual power sliding passenger doors. Seats seven! Interior is in good to very good shape. The exterior is in good to great shape. No on this vehicle! Has tons of paperwork from the dealership I've included a couple in the pictures. Has newer tires and brakes are new! Engine was running like a champ, I mean its a honda. The average for its age: Has a couple dings in the outside. None have broken the paint. The bad: The transmission needs to be rebuilt. Honda issued a recall on the transmission somewhere along the lines and the previous owners never took it in. Otherwise we wouldn't be selling it lol. I've priced out transmission rebuilds around the DC metropolitan area to get it fixed and its running about 1800.00. To purchase a rebuilt on ebay I've seen them priced from 900.00 up to 1450.00. What price point am I looking for: We've poured money making this a well maintained vehicle that has fresh tires, brakes and a new battery. The paperwork from the previous owners also speaks to the care taken with this honda. kbb: list excellent as 6835.00 fair as 5660.00 However this is a honda it pretty great shape with a strong running engine and cosmetically its in overall really good condition. I see these go on craigslist for 8000.00 for resales with this low mileage. I figure on the high end the transmission to fix would be 2000.00. Or 2200.00 if the dealership or an unsavory mechanic gets you. Factoring that into the fair price I'm looking for 3000.00 for a buy it now. However I'm offering this as a no-reserve auction. The parts value on this vehicle is well over 3000.00. Inspections are more then welcome as long as they occur before the auction ends.
