1952 Cadillac Fleetwood, Golden Anniversary Edition This Cadillac is super smooth and beautiful. I had the car rebuilt by Benders Customs. I need to find a good home for it. A few things about the interior of the cadillac: The upholstery is in fair condition and original. A nylon cover was installed a very long time ago on the front bench seat. There is good chance that under the cover the seat is original upholstery. There is a tear in the rear seat that is on the seam and can be sewn. The drivers side door and the passenger door leather is torn at the seam from sun exposure. The headliner is in great condition and all original. The carpet is a really thick canvas material and is original and in good condition with no tears. The dash and interior paint is in good condition. Exterior of the cadillac: The body is straight and in good condition with no rust. On the bottom of the rear driver's side door the hydraulic window had leaked and peeled the paint (this is not rust), Check pictures to see. There is light surface rust in some spots under the car. It looks like at some point the car had been rust coated underneath. The front grill has a ding and someone had repainted it in gold. I recently had the front grill removed and stripped for chroming. This has not been completed and the grill currently sits in the trunk of the car. The paint is not original but is in fair condition. Since I've owned the car these are the repairs that have been made by Benders Customs: > Motor rebuilt from top to bottom 332 engine > Water pump, New > Valve job, machine work > Engine bored, crank turned > Installed rods on pistons > Installed freeze plugs and cam bearings > Installed hardened seats in heads > Painting and prep engine with rust pre treatment > Install of crankshaft, pistons, rings and bearings, timing chain, gears and timing cover > Install cylinder heads > Install rocker arms, lifters and pushrods > Rebuild and install of oil pump and windage tray > Gas tank refurbished > New fuel pump > Generator and Carborator rebuild > All new exhaust system (tips are not original) > All the window hydrolics are new except drivers side (all windows work) > Hydrolic seats work > Windshield wipers work > All glass is in excellent condition > Taillights, headlights and turn signals all work > All interior lights work including the steering wheel light and dash > Tires are whitewalls and in good condition> Speedometer works (50,960 is what it reading says but I'm not sure that is the original milage)> Gas gauge works The transmission is shifting hard from second to first when slowing down. Took it to a transmission shop and was told it was shifting fine. On the highway it purrs. This Cadillac is a 6 volt system. The radio does not work.
