1965 Ford Mustang Convertible found in a barn - This Mustang convertible was born in Dearborn Michigan in the summer on July 6 1965. This summer convertible came with Acadian Blue exterior and a white standard interior. From Dearborn the Mustang was sent to Boston area where it lived most of it's 46+ yr life. The options which this Mustang came with are deluxe radio, power convertible top and 2 Speed Wiper. What other options does one need in a convertible in the summer time? It currently has 168,451 miles on the odometer and needs she needs metal work to be restored to original condition. This Mustang's body is straight as its been off the road for 20+ yrs. No sagging in the body where a lot of other convertible projects often experience. In the engine bay the marks from the factory are easy to see alot of the original pieces are untouched. This Mustang would be a great low cost project to either restore to original or custom Mustang for you. I have installed 200 cid 6 cyl engine and C4 automatic transmission as this Mustang Convertible was sold to a customer outside the country. I will add these pictures of the engine installed tomorrow. Regarding this previous eBay auction; I never received payment and cannot reach this customer either via phone or email. I decided to put this Mustang back on eBay after waiting for a month from this previous transaction. This new eBay listing is a No Reserve auction, so the highest bid is what this car will sell for. I also will take a picture of the 1965 Mustang original gas cap that was installed after these initial photos were taken. I have the air cleaner, pulley, fan and spacer that I will put on the motor. The engine turn over as has been stored in a dry storage for years. This engine should have no problems starting up and running.
