Hello! Up for bid is a really neat and unusual microcar.It is an "Electra-King" manufactured by B-Z Electrics in Long Beach, California.I have been told by an expert on these types of vehicles,is that this particular version is about a 1967-1968.Because of it's smaller decklid.The car is built of steel-( Some dents and dings),with a fibreglass top (Removeable) and the flooring is all plywood-which is in good serviceable condition.The car is currently in primer, it was originally a greenish-blue metallic.It is driveable-utilizes a starter motor from a WW2 deuce and a half truck.Three forward speeds and reverse too( Same mechanicals and electrics as the Autoette microcar, similar to the Marketeer too).The car is 24 volts, has it's own built-in charger which still works. I have two 12 volt batteries tied in a series to create the needed power.It should have four six-volt deep-cycle batteries, which would give you more range-about 30 miles I think.The car goes about 18-20 mph.It's basically complete,just missing the back of the seat (Foam over plywood), the windshield (Plexiglass),the rear window ( I have the old one, cracked),aluminum trim strips and bumpers-all easily replicated.This a fun little car to drive-It is considered a N.E.V. ( Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) and in most instances doesn't require a license to drive it nor registration-But you could if you wish.Different laws apply where you live-good for a retirement community or a large facility, or to take to car shows-would look good painted baby blue w/port-a-wall whitewalls on it's little 8 inch tires-which hold air but need replacing eventually.The headlights,taillights,brakelights,horn, turn signals,shift buttons,charger, all work fine.Mileage shown ( 01932) is to satisfy Ebay requirements as the car does not have an odometer.Buyer is responsible for shipping/pick-up-I can store it for awhile outside.I would require at least half down of purchase price and the rest upon receipt of the vehicle-I gladly accept PayPal.This vehicle is sold " AS-IS" no warranty expressed or implied.You can contact me with any questions pertaining to this vehicle.Please check out my other auctions for collectible vintage car parts.On Dec-31-12 at 08:58:55 PST, seller added the following information:I have found the serial# 16 33 65,which makes this particular vehicle a 1965 model.Also, it measures about 92" long,56" high,by about 40" across.Weight is not much without batteries-maybe 300-400lbs.maybe less.I hope this helps with your decision making.Thank-you!
