Vehicle Detail
1988 Chevrolet Camaro. Car has been sitting around 5 years. For restoration or parts. Must be towed. Isn't drivable in it's present condition. I originally took it off the road when anti freeze was getting into the oil pan. Most likely from a bad head gasket. But I won't guarantee that as I am not a mechanic. There are other causes like a cracked block etc.. Just want to get this listing up. Will add more pics when I get a chance. Strictly sold "as is". Immediate payment by PayPal required. No refunds. When you hit the BIN it's yours..... Had a couple questions sent to me about history and the transmission and more pics...... I will get some engine pics and more interior pics up when the rain stops. Some history.....The transmission was fine. Never had a problem with that. I had used this as a 2nd car. Rust middle of passenger door panel under paint. The T-roof leaked. The shocks on the cars hood needed to be replaced. The problem that needed attention real quick was the engine had a bad valve tap. That's when I then discovered anti freeze leaking into the oil pan when I checked the oil level on the dip stick. It didn't look right so I drained the oil and discovered anti freeze mixing with it. I parked the car since It wasn't drivable at that point and a co worker who was good with cars was going to look at it and either rebuild the engine for me. Or he was going to buy the car and drop another engine in it. He got fired. So that never happened etc etc. Car hasn't been started in at least 5 years. I had put stabil in the gas but that has to be long since bad. So whatever fuel is left in the tank would need to be drained. Also sitting this long I would guess brake seals etc. might need looking at. That's why I have in the title restoration or use it for parts...... >>>>Please use common sense. Not trying to be an ass but someone wanted to know if they could come and test drive the car. If the Camaro in it's present condition was a daily driver I would either be keeping it or selling it for a lot more then $400......<<<<<
