Vehicle Detail

Street, Track or Retro Mod? It's your choice, the hard parts already done! ORIGINALLY A CALIFORNIA 1965 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK A-CODE 289-CI 4-BBL This car was being rebuilt to be my personal summer driver, so it was being built to last! The Fenders are not fully bolted down in the pictures due to me getting it ready for the painter giving the false look of poor body lines at the door front edges, everything lines up very nicely when bolted down. I Vintage Road Raced this car during the 1980's-and into the 1990's when I lived in So. California. Due to my age, my friend Bobby (Owner of Midwest Cobra in Toledo Ohio) talked me into rebuilding it for the street after moving here to Ohio. He had his guys do all the body work and panel replacements to make it back into a solid safe street car. They went way above and beyond what I had originally planned on them doing but the end result was a excellent job and very nice solid body. I had many left over early Shelby parts from the past 40 years so I decided to dress it out with all the 1966 GT350 parts for my personal summer driver. Bobby unexpectedly pasted away before we were able to finish the car and I don't have the energy anymore to finish this project on my own and have decided to past it along to someone to finish and enjoy. The pictures show it with a Built Automatic Tansmission & 3500 rpm stall converter which will be removed before pickup and a good top-loader 4-speed will be included with the car unless the buyer would rather have the automatic trans and not the 4-speed. It comes with a standard 289 motor that you will want to go through and rework to your specs. It has 4-original Shelby 10-spoke wheels with a new set of Goodrich T/A's on them, Original GT350 Steering Wheel and Center Cap & Side Mirror, Original Cobra 9000 rpm Dash Mounted Tach & Qaurter Windows. The Cobra Intake and Cobra Oil Pan maybe originals I have had them for decades, Tri-Y Headers, 1966 K-Code 9" Mustang rear axle housing, The Pumkin is a posi with 4:11gears if I remember correctly, Large Front Sway Bar, Under Ride Traction Bars, very nice reproduction Cobra Open Lettered Valve Covers, the Export Brace is the correct even spaced bolt hole unit with cowl support brace like the original GT350 had. Branda-Fiber Glass Hood, The Side Brake Scoops are fully functional with metal air duct tubing so they will not fall apart in a couple of years like the originals or cheap reproduction units made today. The interior is all new except the seats which I just took out of a very nice car from California that was being converted to pony interior. I have it set up as a radio delete car. It has a 1966 Shelby Rear Package Tray replacing the back seat. New Bumpers, Fuel Tank. I have purchased a trunk load of new parts (too many to list) for this car and are ready to be installed. I was going to install 4-wheel disc brakes but never got around to buying them, it currently has drum brakes to hold the wheels on that you can use as cores if you want or scrap them. It also comes with new Global West Rear Springs & Shackle/Bushing Assemblies. 4-NOS Koni Shocks. Many of the New Parts are not Picture! This car has a clear California Title/Pink Slip! __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I will be adding to this listing both in discription & pictures over the next few days. This is not a fire sale, I don't need the money and don't need it out of my garage by a certain date and I am not looking for a car trade-sell yours buy mine! I will work with any serious buyer on a payment plan and storage until the end of winter (April Area) if needed. I have done this successfully with several other cars over the past 2 years working with buyers be able to get the car they wanted while coming up with the cash or selling something they have . I will also work with you on adjusting the price if say for example you don't want the wheels & tires, I can put 4 plain steel rims & tires on it for transporting in a trailer to save you some money on parts you will not be needing. If you were to buy a rebuildable fastback and rebuild it you would easily spend a lot more then my Buy-It -Now price! This vehicle is being sold as a work in progress (It is just about ready for paint) with no warranty or guarantees. I don't mind answering questions if you are serious about buying the car, If you can't come up with the money to purchase this car don't even contact me about it! Serious Bidders/Buyers are welcome to inspect the car inperson before committing. I am located 2 minutes from the I-280 & I-80 Turnpike just south of Toledo. Shipping maybe avalible-weather permitting at a additional cost of $1.75 a loaded mile to your location from zipcode 43463 in a nice enclosed car hauler. Thank You For Looking & Good Luck Bidding!
