This is a 1940 LaSalle 4-door sedan, with a clear title. The engine has been rebuilt, installed, and started, but not plumbed or wired. The radiator and gas tank have been cleaned. The brakes will need to be rebuilt. The body and sheet metal are in good condition. The floors are very good. The only rust hole in the car is above the tail pipe, in the bottom rear panel. The doors fit very well, but a couple of the outside handles do not work. The glass is intact, although some of the flat glass is turning brown around the edges. The trunk lid has been replaced, and will need a little body work. The front clip needs to be adjusted, so both hood side panels will fit correctly. The car was originally Cavern Green, repainted black, and needs paint again. The chrome will all need to be redone, and the diecast material has pits. The parking lights are by far the worst pieces for pitting. Interior has been redone in a nylon material many years ago, but has water stains, and will need restoration. The steering wheel will need to be re-molded. The engine was put together from a variety of parts, mostly postwar. We have all of the correct year external parts, but they will need to be bolted to the engine. The original numbers-matching engine block is included, but is not the one in the car. The car is equipped with the original 3-speed transmission. The deck handle base is broken, and will need to be repaired. The driveshaft is from a different year car, and will need to be shortened. This LaSalle is equipped with the optional front bumper guard, Cadillac radio and heater, spotlight, running boards, and full hubcaps. There are a lot of extra parts included, like a second set of hood parts, trunk lid, and rear bumper. There are many mechanical parts as well, a lot of which will help to make the engine compartment correct. There is at least a pickup load of extra stuff. The LaSalle has a clear title, and the tires hold air. The handbrake works. A non-refundable $250 deposit should be made through Paypal within 3 days. The car should be paid for in full within 10 days. Shipping needs to be arranged by the buyer, but we will be happy to help load. The title can be sent with the shipper, or mailed when the car is paid for and gone.
