1966 MERCURY COMET CYCLONE GT VIN# *6J26S519131* 63H X 86 20E 53 1 5 (DOOR tag) 1968 390 4BBL, THE BIG BLOCK IS 1968 AND THE( TOP HALF HAS BEEN REBUILT) BODY ON THIS CAR IS VERY CLEAN AND STRAGHT/ DOOR HINGES/LINE UP OF HOOD TRUNK AND DOORS ARE STILL TIGHT NEW PAINT ONLY 2 YRS OLD THIS CAR HAS THE CLUTCH PEDDLE. I WAS SAYING IT HAD THE ORIGINAL 4 SPEED MANUAL TOP LOADER AVAILABLE (THEY WERE JUST TELLING ME THAT THE CAR HAD THE TOP LOADER ORIGINALLY. THE FRONT FLOOR PANS AND THE PAN (INCLUDED) ABOVE THE GAS PEDAL WHICH IS ALSO INCLUDED DO NEED TO BE REPLACED, THE FLOOR PANS ARE NOT TOTALLY JUNK, JUST NEED TO BE REPLACED. GARAGE KEPT THIS CAR HAS A C-6 AUTO TRANS. ALL THE CHROME TRIM IS WITH CAR INCLUDING EXTRAS INTERIOR OF THIS CAR IS REALLY READY TO BE REDONE, IL INCLUDE AS MANY PICTURES AS I CAN ALSO NEEDS UPDATED RADIATOR, THE RADIATOR IN THE CAR WORKS FINE BUT NEEDS TO BE A FULL SIZE IM SELLING THIS CAR FOR A FRIEND AND WASNT UP TO DATE ON EXCATLY WHAT THEY HAD, NOW ON A BRIGHT NOTE THE BODY ON THIS CAR IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE AND WOULD BE A HUGE JUMP START TO A VERY NICE 1966 CLASSIC On Dec-09-12 at 07:42:23 PST, seller added the following information: OK, WE ALL GOT TOGETHER YESTERDAY ON THE 1966 SINCE ITS GETTING CLOSE TO THE END AND WE ALL WORK DIFFERENT HRS THIS WEEK. GREG (THE MECHANIC) THAT REBUILT THE TOP PART OF THIS MOTOR SAID HE THOUGHT IT WAS REAL IMPORTANT FOR ME TO MAKE THIS TOP HALF REBUILD CLEAR TO VEIWERS. IM WRITING IT JUST LIKE HE WROTE IT.............. GREG SAYS THE 1964-1968 390 BIG BLOCKS THEMSELVES WERE EXACTLY THE SAME, BUT THE TOP HALF OF THIS MOTOR WAS REBUILT WITH 1966 HEADS,MANIFOLD,AND INTAKE..THAT WOULD HAVE CAME ORIGANALY IN 1966. AND HE SAID THE VALVE COVERS ON THERE WERE HARD TO FIND ALSO BECAUSE OF THE LONG STROKE HAEDS I GUESS. ALL THESE TOP PARTS WERE VERY HARD TO FIND AND EXPENSIVE. SO IN MY DESCRIPTION THE 390 BLOCK WAS 1968 BUT THE TOP HALF REBUILD IS 1966 HEADS ,MANIFOLD AND INTAKE WHICH HE SAID WOULD BE IMPORTANT TO CLASSIC CAR PEOPLE AND MECHANICS.. IM TRYING TO GET A VIDEO ON MY SITE OF THIS THING RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE ROAD, WE SLSO DISCUSSED THE FULL BRAKE JOB IT HAD.. FIRST TIME I DROVE IT AND THE BRAKES WORKED GREAT ALL THE WAY AROUND.. I HOPE ALL THAT MAKES SINCE.IM JUST THE ROOKIE EBAY GUY FOR THESE FELLOWS..
