Vehicle Detail
This Bus features extremely nice German Glasurit paint, Doug Denlinger supplied interior material, a brand new (not rebuilt) 1915cc dual carbed engine, new A1 exhaust, new Rancho Freeway Flier transaxle, new and expensive wide white wall radial tires, all 3 seats with the early thin grab handle on the middle seat, 6 popout window option, new safari windows, and so much more. The body is as straight as can be, a near mirror on all sides, and has a very expensive top quality Glasurit paint job in the original Sealing Wax Red and Light Beige Grey color scheme. The job is show quality and even the undercarriage is fully paint detailed and spotless. The floors are absolutely rust free and as shiny and clean as the outside of the Bus. The original aluminum deluxe trim has been fully polished to a full show shine and gleams. The interior has been completely restored as well and features all top quality materials that were supplied by Doug Denlinger who is a early Deluxe Bus specialist and he is best recognized for his incredible interiors. Everything has been replaced including the mohair headliner, plaid pattern interior panels, pleated grey seat covers, chrome trim, etc. Even the black rubber floor mats are new reproductions in perfect condition. The jail bars, correct coat hooks, drink tray trim, and rear deluxe seat bar are fully polished to a very high shine as well. The gorgeous dash is uncut and features a mint Saphire I indash radio, a perfect 80mph speedometer, and a newly restored/recast Koch's steering wheel. Spotless! Mechanically this Bus has been completed refreshed and features a brand new (again, not rebuilt), 1915cc engine with brand new baby Webers, accessory serpentine belt tensioner, and a new custom ceramic coated header and muffler system that is spotless and sounds nice and throaty. The transaxle is a newly built Rancho Freeway Flier, 46mm "Big Nut" reduction box unit and it is nice, clean, tight, and quiet. The electrical has been converted to 12 volts and everything operates as it should. The front suspension was fully disassembled, rebuilt, and paint detailed as well. Brand new wide white wall radial tires are mounted on the stock 15 inch slotted Bus wheels and are topped off with new chrome caps with paint detailed logos. This one will be a joy to service in the future as there is no dirt, grease, and filth buildup anywhere you look! It starts up quickly, idles smoothly, and motors down the road comfortably at 70mph with power to spare. This setup was engineered to get this Bus there sooner than later.
