1975 International Harvester Scout II XLC (extra load capacity) after a frame-off restoration that was completed in November 2004. This scout has been driven less than 1,000 miles since then and has been stored in a climate controlled garage. This Scout is essentially new, front to rear, top to bottom, with the exception of the A/C which needs to be charged, carb choke cable installed. Restoration Features include: Frame fully cleaned, detailed and painted with new brake liners, rebuilt disc brakes front and drums rear, e-brake cables, rebuilt 4WD Lock-O-Matic hubs, steer straight cross member. 4" suspension lift - new leaf springs and Hydro 8000 shocks. Rebuilt 345 motor with 4 barrel intake and Holley 600cfm carb, new fuel pump, water pump, re-cored radiator, new hoses and belts, new exhaust system front to rear, and new engine compartment decals. Rebuilt 727 Torque Flight Transmission. The body tub was removed, sandblasted and painted before being set on the frame with all new poly body mounts. Replaced body inner front fenders, both outer fenders, both rear quarters, both rear endcaps, fiberglass quarter panel wheel well fillers. Added front and rear mud gussets. Original floor boards and rockers were in excellent condition. Original windshield frame, hard top, doors and tailgate were in excellent condition as well. Added an original Scout rear step bumper. New windshield glass and new weather stripping. All other weather stripping is new with the exception of the sliding side window seals. All lights, signals, switches, horn, heater controls, etc. are in working condition. Interior has a NOS headliner. Show bar roll bar. Entire tub floor and rear storage compartment has been sprayed with rhino-liner type coating. Dash, shifter console and center console were painted to match. The original high back front and rear seats show very minor wear and original interior door panels were in excellent condition. New Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 33X12.5 tries on Mickey Thompson polished, aluminum wheels with less than 1,000 miles on tires. All side body mouldings were professionally polished to like-new condition. Re-chromed door handles and outside mirrors. All body work and base coat, clear coat paint was professionally completed. All parts were purchased through a IH dealer, NAPA and trusted dealers at the Scout National shows in Springfield, Ohio. This was not a basement restoration. This Scout is 99% show ready, or a confident and reliable driver. Vehicle odometer reading is not assumed to be actual.
