Vehicle Detail
1950 Cadillac 62 Series 65,672 Actual Miles Newer Interior Rebuilt Engine New Tires Thank you for looking at our auction. We have up for sale today a 1950 Cadillac 4 door series 62 with 65,672 actual miles. This car was purchased from a gentleman who purchased it from a guy who restored the car in the early 90s. The car was totally painted and looked brand-new. The interior was all redone, and still looks about the same today, in great shape. The car sat in a garage that had a leak, and it kind of ruined the paint, and so the car will need a new paint job to make it look new again. The front bumper is still in great shape, but the rear bumper will have to be re-chromed. Also, the engine was rebuilt in 2010 with new tires put on the car, rebuilt carbonator, new alternator, new radiator, new fuel pump, new battery, and a complete tune-up. In the Photobucket you will a see a receipt for the motor work being done. The odometer works, but the speedometer itself sticks. The horn does not work and the radio does not work. We believe that everything else on the car works great. The brakes stop well, but you have to pump them first, so they will have to be bled. When the new owner puts a paintjob on this car, they will have one of the nicer ’50 Cadillacs still in existence. Please look at all of the pictures of the frame. With a sandblasting and new rust-proofing, it’ll be ready for another 63 years of cruising. When you drive this car down the road, there’s not one rattle, and the alignment is perfectly straight. We have all books, paperwork and shop manuals that come with the car. There are no cracks in any of the windows, the heat works, and it’s really a pleasure to drive. We are purposefully not painting this car, because most collectors aren’t happy with paintjobs other people do. This gives an individual an opportunity to paint this vehicle themselves and be very proud of how it looks. Most all of the work on this car has been done. Please take the time to view all the pictures of the dash and interior and exterior. The trunk is solid as a rock, and it is not rusty. Again, this is a no reserve auction. The last bidder when the auction is over and time is up wins one beautiful Cadillac. What makes this car so special is that if you had to go out and replace it, what would you have to pay for a 65,000 mile Cadillac, clean, with a re-built engine that you know you can rely on, take to cruises, or travel the United States? It would be a considerable amount. You’d get all that with this car, and the security of knowing that the work was done at a professional shop who sells and restores classic cars. This is an as-is vehicle, which means that once you buy it, you own it with all faults (known or unknown). This is a no-reserve auction, which means that the last highest bidder when the auction is over will win the car. Every time you bid on the car keep in mind that you have an opportunity to be the owner, so your bid means something. We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. We need the car paid for within 3 days, either by cash or wire transfer, after the auction is over. We would like the car picked up from our lot within 7 days of auction ending. There will be a $100 paperwork fee added on to the final sale price of the vehicle. If you need a 30 Day Tag it’s $18.50. If we need to transfer your title (and not hand you your title) we will also have to collect the tax in your county if you live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, South Carolina or Washington. We will not pay any shipping fees, but we would be glad to assist your shipper in picking up your vehicle. If you have any questions, call Stan at 216-598-7011. Good luck bidding!
