WELCOME TO ANOTHER AUCTION FROM GRINDING LLC!!! Up for sale is a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4x4 with the impressive 6.6L Duramax LLY motor coupled with the proven Allison 5 speed automatic transmission!!! This is a one owner commercial truck. This truck was used to deliver Sheet Metal ductwork. This vehicle has always been dealer maintained and stored indoors and it shows. There is no failure of the clear coat anywhere on the truck. The paint is still glossy and the chrome still shines. The plastic pieces also show no sign of weathering or oxidation. The truck only has 175,000 highway miles on it and anyone who has owned a truck with a Duramax motor with an Allison transmission knows... If you want a reliable truck and own the best of breed... A Duramax and Allison is the way to go! Now with that, this was a work truck so the body is not in pristine condition. There are a few dents, scratches, and paint chips around the truck. Now does it look awful...? No. As you can see, the truck was detailed and has been detailed since delivery of the truck 3 times a month. And the truck is in fine shape... I took specific pictures of the places with the dents and scratches on the truck. If you looks, even the inner wheels wells where maintained... Who else does that on a work truck??? Or on any car no less??? So if you are looking for a show truck, keep looking. But if you want a truck to haul the Christmas tree to the house or a few Gang Boxes to the job site, you will still look good doing it and you will still be proud to park it in your driveway and continue to wash and wax it. The Flaws: Now again, the body does have some paint chips, scratches, and dents. But there are not spots of rust or anything like that. The body is very clean and straight. The Tachometer acts funny from time to time. There was a TSB on the issue and GM Announced it back in 2009. It stated customers complained the gauge needle will become stuck under certain condition. Dealers are authorized to examine problem and if the problem falls within the parameters, contact GM for R&R of new Cluster Unit. Mileage must be taken before ordering new cluster. Now when this TSB came out, I took it to the dealer, but it did not qualify for the repair because the truck was a commercial vehicle. It seems like when the vehicle is cold and the Tach jumps it gets stuck, once the vehicle is warm, the needle slowly starts to come down until it is back to normal. Interior flaws: There is wear on the seat edge on the drivers side. To prevent anymore wear, silver duct tape was used to protect the area. Otherwise, the cloth seats are clean. No smoke smells, mildew, etc... There is some minor scuffing on both door panels, but are light and cannot be seen in the pictures unless looking up close. Now the good! The truck has been detailed 3 times a month since delivery. So the paint is in excellent condition! The fender wells, bumpers, and support ends show no signs of rust what so ever. The truck also has all of its books and the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER!!! I also have all of the service records for the truck as well. The tires are also in great shape all the way around.
