This Mercury Cougar XR7 has been a steady performer. A lot of power and it has been durable. It has the BIG 4.6 litre V8 engine that was available on the Cougar for a limited time. I purchased it from its original owner in 2002 and drove it every day to work and back until 2010. The car has never been in an accident, except for a recent slight "collision" with a gas station island that dented the right front fender and hood a bit and broke the parking light cover. Parking light still functions. This car has had four owners and I am two of them. I sold it to my neighbor in 2010. He put it through a major upgrade. He added a new radiator, replaced the cracked windshield, replaced the steering struts, added brake rotor and pads, repaired the catalyzer oil leak, charged the AC, switched out the idler pulleys, replaced the valve head gasket, changed out the differential gear oil and put some new tires on. He put in a K&N filter. Have all the receipts from this upgrade. After all this it was so nice, I bought the car back and my son has driven it most recently. Why are we selling it? Recently, the left front ball joint broke and we decided it was time to move on. If you are good with cars, this one still runs great. Its a bull on the highway. And of course it is a classic. Just make the repair to the front left wheel and you are good to go. We can also give you the original Owner's Guide and Maintenance Schedule & Record in its leather case. The actual mileage is somewhere around 137,000 miles but the odometer is broke and still registers 127,000 or so. Alot of those miles were in driving the car down to South Carolina in the winter and when we moved to Indiana from Ohio in 2008. NO RESERVE......so high bidder takes it! Good luck!
