Up for auction is a 1983 Mercedes 300SD DIESEL. New paint job less than 2 years ago. Wind blew a trampoline into the passenger side by the window. You can see the scrape in the pictures. The rest of the body is in good condition with normal wear. Everybody knows that the price for diesel these days is not a joke. This will get you around 32 mpg on the hwy and 26 mpg or so in the city. This vehicle has inline 5 cylinder engine. It gives you great fuel economy. The engine starts and runs well. The engine has an excellent sound. Ready for daily use. This is your chance! This vehicle is true Mercedes. It is built like a small tank. It has a real steel, wood, leather and other high quality components. Made in Germany. Mercedes diesel engines are known to be driven for one million miles without major problems. One of the few problems is that power antenna is stationary and does not go up or down. I installed an updated CD player, it sounds ok on the original cars speakers. I saw that the antenna mast is being sold on ebaymotors for only $20. Driver's seat and passenger seat have multi adjustable functions for your best comfort when positioning. Speedometer works correctly. The mileage counter does not function properly, I estimate that the milage is around 300,000. But if you know a diesel like I do, you know that it is just getting broke in. Tachometer does not function so far. Heat is good. AC needs re-wiring-all components are present. I believe the buttons need to be configured. May be a simple fix, not sure. All windows work properly except driverside rear window. It needs a plastic piece on the rail to enable the lift up and down. The motor works well. Sunroof works properly at times, no leaks. Seats/interior is in rough condition. Faithful to crank. Has taken me anywhere I need to go, bought a newer model, that is why I am selling this one. Good luck bidding. I will also take reasonable offer before the end of the auction.
