It's an exceptionally clean 2009 MERCEDES BENZ SL 63 AMG TRIPLE BLACK with the nappa interior and a black alcatara headliner. This fully warrantied rocketship is under FULL FACTORY WARRANTY until February 2013 and has only 19,500 carefully driven one owner miles...a real showstopper.
Our SL 63 is powered with a 6.2 L V8 518 HP 32 V MPFI AMG engine mated with a specially designed seven speed AMG speedshift MCT transmission which uses a series of "wet clutches" and that you can preselect four different settings.... Comfort,Sport, Sport-plus and Manual.
The quickest setting gets the SL 63 to explode from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 155 mph. This AMG transmission make our "63" as fast as a Ferrari GTB Fiorano and it does a perfect "double clutch" on the downshifts as well....WOW !!!.
By having the seventh gear at highway driving she is getting 19 mpg. Also comes with the AMG 19" wheels with almost new Bridgestone Potenza radial tires...a very nice choice. This is one very special machine that doesn't just feel like a cloned-up SL, because of the active body control that keeps the car in check. I love the way the 6.2 Liter V8 just howls, spits and roars as it runs through the gears, it's truly impressive..one of the best exhaust sounds that have ever come out of a performance vehicle.
Our car comes with the Premium Package ($3,050.00). It features heated and activated ventilated memory seats, the airscarf vents that directs warm air throughout the seating area, also has the massage seating feature that all ties in. Keyless go ignition and an electronic trunk closer completes this nice comfortable worthwhile option.
Other very nice features are the dvd based COMAND Navigation system, bluetooth, the optional eight speaker Harman Kardon Logic 7 digital surround sound system with a six CD disc changer, MP 3 player and of course sirius satellite radio. The retractable power top just takes 16 seconds to raise or lower...very efficient.
I am always impressed every time we get a chance to obtain one of these rather unique vehicles, seeing as it's both a true wind-in-your-face roadster and a performance hardtop sports car with plenty of power, great looks and a exhaust system that is second to none make this car a very compelling buy at $78,900.00
Final thoughts. Our car has been serviced throughout it's history by Mercedes of Ft. Lauderdale fully documented and we just did a separate inspection there and our SL 63 is 100% perfect.
