for sale is a 1997 Volkswagen Passat TDI 5 speed stick shift 4 door sedan The car is currently not driven You will have to tow the vehicle I was driving the car on a long trip and getting over 50 mpg with cruize control on when the car just stopped running. There was no noise, shake, rattle, pop, wheeze, nothing ... it just quietly stopped running and I coasted to a stop. Exterior: overall good to very good condition it needs the front passenger side turn signal assembly the paint is faiding especially on the hood but it still looks good from 10 feet or when wet/waxed the rest of the car has very little surface rust and scuffs approriate to its age no major dings only a few scratches and small dings appropriate for its age The doors close tight and straight Interior: overall good condition all options and features were working when I last drove the car upholstery is in good shape all around including all four doors, carpet, and seats The dash has no cracks, warps, or fading and is in really good condition the passenger side seat bottom has some ink spots (my fault) I removed the headliner planning to replace it, I still have it and you are welcome to take it with the car the center console cover is missing and the stick shift and brake leatehr boots are worn (see pictures) The shift knob is still in good shape as is the instrument panel with all factory original equipment including: heat-A/C, radio with AM/FM/cassettee/CD control power windows, power mirrors, tilt steering wheel adjustable manual front seats, two factory fold-down/hide-away cup holders in front, one in the back trunk release, rear folding armrest, interior roof lights trunk is in good shape as is the trunk carpet two front "Passat" floor mats Mechanical: engine not running all options and features were working well and running when it last ran Turbo diesel, 5 speed stick shift, clutch, brakes, steering, suspension, A/C, heat, exhaust, lights all worked all four wheels are in good shape and factory original two rear tires are Hankook W404's still with good life two front tires are Douglas Performance GT-H's still with good life factory spare tire and jack under the trunk floor are in good shape The car is for sale locally and it is available for inspection up until it is sold.
