  1957 Chevrolet 2 Door Hardtop Bel Air. I traded another vehicle to a friend of mine for this 57' Bel Air earlier this year.  I got married 1 month ago and wanted to drive this car in my wedding. It is a very solid classic. I have put A LOT of money into this car and have restored a lot of it. It looked amazing in our wedding pictures. This is not easy for me as I LOVE this 57', but I have another classic car and I am keeping it instead. So this 57' must go! I have the clean and clear title in hand. I have a buy it now price set, but my reserve price is thousands lower to ensure that it sells and I atleast recover some money....so BID TO BUY. I have provided well over 100 detailed pictures as well as video clips. Here is all of the info on this car. I will nitpick any flaws that I can find on this car in the description below as well as in pictures as I would want the same done for me if I was buying a vehicle. I know there is a lot of pictures, but WITH THIS SAID, VIEW ALL THE DETAILED PICTURES!!. The following is BRAND NEW within the last 500 miles of driving: Brand new Vermillion red with Polo White basecoat/clearcoat PPG paint.  Brand new Complete chrome front bumper.  Brand new Complete chrome rear bumper. Brand new Front/Rear Bumper bolts. Brand new Chrome hood bar extensions.(on front of fenders)  Brand new Chrome hood scoop Rocket assemblies. Brand new Chrome rear tail lamp housings. Brand new Tail lamp lenses with blue bowties. Brand new Front white parking lamp lens. Brand new Exterior light lens gasket set. Brand new Chrome door handles with gaskets. Brand new Gold quarter emblem "Bel Air" scripts. Brand new Boss 338 rims. 18x8 front. 20x10 rear. Brand new Nexus tires. 235/45r18 front. 255/35R20 rear. Brand new Complete interior black carpet. Brand new Ignition cylinder with original style keys. Brand new Dome light assembly. Brand new Dash indicator lenses. Brand new Dash indicator plastics. (not installed yet) Brand new Dash light bulb kit. Brand new Gas gauge lens. Brand new Temp gauge lens. Brand new Speedo gauge lens. Brand new Transmission indicator face lens. Brand new Gauge to instrument cluster gasket set. NOTE All of the original parts go with the sale(including the bumpers) if the buyer wants them. I am probably forgetting something that is NEW or FRESH, but you get the idea...LOOK AT ALL PICS!!  BODY This car was professionly prepped and painted. It was painted using PPG base/clear paint. VERY LITTLE bodywork was done on this car. The body and sheet metal was for the most part solid and straight. There was 3 coats of color and 5 coats of clearcoat applied. The clearcoat was then wetsanded and buffed to give it a mirror finish. The is a beautiful car. All of the external lights work good including the headlights, bright lights, parking lamps, tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals. However sometimes the left turn signal randomly does not. All of the glass is intact and looks good, however the rear quarter glass on both sides have some cracks. The undercarriage is clean looking as seen in the pics too. This is not a $100K car....With this said, there is some imperfections as expected. The worst spots on the body is a couple small chips in the paint infront of both doors where they open. The buyer could easily touch these spots up if wanted. There is a few very small almost unknotecable runs/sags in the clearcoat that you have to look hard to find. There is also a couple spots that you could nitpick in the paint if you were to go over it in detail...EVERYTHING is pictured in detail. ENGINE & DRIVETRANE This 57' 2dr hardtop Bel-Air has a small block chevrolet engine of which I think is a V8-350. The transmission is an automatic TH350. The brakes consist of front disc brakes and rear drum. I am not sure what gear is in the rearend, but it has a perfect "cruising" gear and this car can be driven anywhere including on the interstate. The SBC engine starts up and purrz like a kitten. All of the exhaust sound exits the rear and has a good quiet sound to it. It idles, runs, and revs nicely. The TH350 transmission shifts into every gear perfectly. The brakes stop this car hard, straight and work good. The steering is tight, however when driving, it slightly pulls to the right....it is not overwhelming, but it does pull a little. It does not have power steering, but it would probably be pretty simple to put it on. The suspension is comfortable and has a decently good ride to it. When this car sits in my garage, it does leak a small puddle of transmission fluid. A new tranny pan gasket will probably fix this. Overall, it starts right up, idles, runs, drives, and stops good. I wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere. I have probably driven this car a few hundred miles the last few weeks and have enjoyed every second of it. However, it does get overwhelming with the attention that it draws!! It seems like everysingle place that you stop, people come over and want to see it or take pictures.  INTERIOR The interior is decently clean. The carpet is brand new and so is everything else listed above. The dash was painted the same color as the car and looks decent...but it could definitely use sanded/buffed to give it more of a mirror shine. Both doors open and close with that tight solid clicking sound. You have to push the passenger side door handle button extra hard to get it to open, but the drivers side opens with ease. All 4 windows roll up and down smoothly. The windshield wipers and headlight switch works good. The brights headlight switch on the floorboard also works good. The only original gauge that works is the temp gauge, The speedo and gas does not. The original heater works! The CD player/stereo system mounted under the dash works great and plays clear throughout its 4 speakers. This 57' Bel Air could use a new headliner and the original seats recovered. For now, I have a set of matching gray/black seat covers on them that are decent looking.   Overall, this is a beautiful 1957 Chevrolet 2 Door hardtop Bel Air that can be cruised right now. It runs, drives, shifts, stops, and sounds good. People give me thumbs up and stop to see it where ever I cruise. It is definitely an attention grabbing classic car. I know someone could put a little more money into it and have a show winner. It could use a new chrome hood bar, engine bay detailed, seats recovered, headliner, rear quarter glass, and some odds and ends, or it can be cruised just the way it is! Drive it while you do your own finishing touches!! Its an absolute blast cruising it around or to carshows. It is sitting in my garage under a car cover awaiting a new owner, but I will probably cruise it a few more times before the auction end......
