For sale is a 1966 Shelby GT 350 number 2249. This car comes with a really neat documented piece of history. The original owner of the car Glen Horwege was a police pursuit driving instructor, and he used the car in the mid 60's in a training video. The car was driving as a bad guy in a mock bank robbery. The video was narrated by Jack Webb. This in an original sheet metal car....it was restored in the late 80's and completed in the early 90's. The car is very straight, and the paint has held up very well. There are a couple of small chips in the paint. I would give the paint a 7 or 8 out of 10....it is a nice paint job. In the restoration, the Lemans stripes were added along with the R model front end. Sadly, when I purchased the car, I did not get the original valance or front bumper, they have been lost. The engine was also rebuilt, balanced and blue printed. The engine runs very good and it is quite strong. The engine is a Hipo 289 and is numbers matching, and does retain its original Shelby specific parts. The car was originally an automatic car, and it has been converted to a Date coded correct Shelby t-10 from Jim at Shelby parts in Wisconsin. The transmission is freshly rebuilt, and has less then a 1000 miles on it since the conversion. The conversion was done correctly and if you did not know if, you would have thought it was factory. The C-4 and all the automatic components come with the car. I do not think the C-4 is the original one for the car. The car is a very nice presentable car, and it is a car that gets driven on a regular basis. So the under side is not perfectly clean because of this. So please keep that in mind when you look at the pictures. The car is in perfect mechanical condition, and can be driven to its new home with no worries. Please email with questions you might have.
