Vehicle Detail
For sale: 1971 Triumph 205 Trail Blazer. This bike is in very good condition for it's age. All is original, except perhaps the tires. The front wheel has been replaced with a 21" , due to the fact that 20" tires are non-exsistant. The original wheel is here with the bike. I acquired the bike with the intention of going through it and doing a nice restoration. There is virtually no rust anywhere on the chrome, except the shock springs. The air filter was replaced by the previous owner, but the original is here. The paint on the tank and fenders is good, and there are no dents. When I bought the bike, last august, the owner fired it up and ran it up & rode it up and down the street. When I got home with it, I added some stabil to the gas and rode it for a few minutes. I tried to start it a few weeks ago and couldn't get it going. I think it may be I have the wrong technique. It has good compression, and it has been stored in my heated basement since I got it. The seat is supple and no defects, other than the Triumph logo has nearly disappeared. The battery is strong, and the headlight, high beam light, oil pressure light all work fine. The tail light and brake light don't, but it could simply be a bulb, I haven't checked to see. The muffler was replaced by the previous owner with a "wassel" (?) The original is here, and in good shape. The blinkers have been removed, and 1 lens is broken. Parts are readily available If you are looking for one of these overall it is a really great candidate for a restoration. Very little work would need to be done, mostly cleaning and checking things over..
