I purchased this item in 1984 with 76000 miles on the car and rare moontops . I decided in 1986 to remove the engine and completely overhauled it as well as all the running gear . We also put new carpet in it as well as rehabilitated the interior.After I purchased this car I discovered it had front end fiberglass damage that was repaired poorly so we had that work cleaned up properly . The car looks very good and runs perfect . We did install a custom dual exhaust which wasn't stock ,as well as stainless brake lines dot 5 fluid , new rotors and calipers ,but the rest of the car does remain stock with matching numbers. This car was built to be a beautiful strong and reliable runner . On a yearly basis I put approx. 50 miles on it ,just to keep everything ok .When I rebuilt the engine it didn't need bored so just new bearing ,chamfered crank oil holes ,new rings ,timing chain and gears , elbelbrock performer very mild cam , rebuilt carb , 3 way valve job and springs , high volume oil pump . gaskets ,freeze plugs and water pump. The trans was rebuilt at same time as well as the rear end getting bearing and new gears . The radiator and alternator were also rebuilt . the suspension has all poly bushings as well as Bilstein shocks .The door hinge side is gapped alittle but the rest of the body lines are ok and the paint is beautiful Again this is a good looking car that is very strong and reliable .
