Up for auction is 1976 Special Edition 50th Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am with factory 455 4 speed option PHS verified which will be provided to winning bidder. This is originally a non-T Top car and according to PHS it is 1 of 319 made. This Trans Am is very much a barn find. The person I bought this car from originally owned it and drove it in high school over 28 years ago. He sold it before going into the military and bought it back approximately 10 years ago and stored it in his barn until he sold it to me. Over the years, the car lost its original engine. I did however acquire a correct WX block, crank and 6h heads for this project that goes along with the auction. I’m not certain what motor is in the car currently, but I believe it is early Pontiac. This is an AC optioned car as well, but most of those components are missing. I was told by the person I bought it from that the transmission and rear end is believed to be original to the car. I think the pictures best describe the condition of this car. It is overall a solid base for restoration. While the car was stored some critters got inside and tore most of the interior to shreds. I did find another set of seats that just need cleaned. I have included pictures of them as well and they are included in the auction. The trunk, the floor pans and the frame are pretty solid with the exception of a spot on the front driver side floor and a spot that looks like it may have been drilled out at one time that is close to the tunnel on the passenger side. Door cores look good, but will likely need outer skins. I have an extra passenger door that is included in the auction as well. Door jams and rockers look pretty good. Lower rear quarter patch panels and a tail panel will be required and hood corners will need some work. Along the way someone installed a sunroof, so you will likely need to re-skin that as well. This car is selling as is and the car is being sold as pictured no additional parts. If you have any questions please ask. The car has a clear Ohio title. Title does not reflect mileage as it is a duplicate and previous history was destroyed. Odometer reads just over 62K. Winning bidder must send a $500.00 deposit via PayPal immediately after auction ends. Balance and vehicle pick up is due within 3 weeks of auction ending.
