Here we have a 1985 GMC JIMMY up for auction. This is a vehicle that runs and drives ,but needs some work. It has rust in the rockers,and some in variuos spots in other places, that should be repaired if the vehicle is to be used on the road. It has a 305 v8, runs OK,its sluggish when cold,possibly a choke issue,the transmission seems to work good. The vehicle may have a off -road package because it has dual front shocks, a 3.73 axle gears in it, and it rides fairly stiff, may have been set up for a snoe plow. The engine isnt a power house , but with the 3.73 gears, it has good power to work with. The alternator is not putting out,so it needs at least that, the rear power window works very slow, so the window motor or switch may need replacement. The interior seats and carpet is very nice, the front headliner is out, and so are the rear interior finish panels. The previous owner most likely removed them to work on the body,and they never got put back in. To inspect the vehicle,it will take some rust repair,fix the alternator electrical,a rear wheel cylinder for the brakes, thats what I know of, the tires and exhaust seem good. I have a 1990 style dual headlight grille and rad support that can go with for an additional $125.00 if interested.
