KBB says this bike is worth $12,500 plus accessories and options = $16,800. This a great bike and a good price. 10,500 miles Serviced and purchased from BMW San Diego about a year ago. Bike is in great shape - although you will notice it is a little dusty from the pictures. The reason I am selling is that I just don't ride enough - too many other things going on, and this is not the bike to take out for occasional rides with my wife. Stored in my garage in San Diego, battery maintained, and bike ridden occasionally. Both the previous owner and I were in the 50+ age range. My last bike was a K1200LT – I wanted something more “Fun” – this was definitely it. Amazing power - like being on top of a jet engine. I I have never ridden a bike that made me grin and enjoy riding as much as this one - the fun factor on this is like nothing else I ever ridden - it is a fabulous machine. There are many options/features on this bike: over $2500 in options alone ABS $250 Option - Heated Handgrips $900 Option - ESA - Electronically adjustable suspension give you instant control of suspension settings for comfort, sport, and normal riding conditions, and well as adjusting for 1 or 2 riders and other loading condition. Great feature. $400 Option - Automatic Stability Control - controls rear wheelspin to maintain control under acceleration, cornering and other road conditions.$450 Option - Gearshift Assist gives the capability of full throttle F1 type upshifts for maximum acceleration.$250 Option - TPMS - Tire Pressure Monitoring System $150 Option - Luggage GridEXTRAS: $1800 plus in accessories BMW Sport Panniers - these expand from 17 - 25 liters, and lock with the main bike key - there is black reflective tape on the back of the bags for improved viz. These are about $800 for the set. These expand to hold a full face helment, come off with a twist of a key, and are the best combination of storage, convenience, and access I have used on a bike. Not too big, not too small, and remove easily.Bar Risers - to give a slightly more upright riding position - these cost around $400Throttlemeister Mechanical Cruise Control ($144) - so you can give your right wrist a break on a long ride. see pirateslair.net/Sthrottle.htmLaminar Lip windshield – great wind protection, no buffeting for me - $100Adaptiv Radar Detector w dash indicator light ($300) - this radar detector is designed for motorcycle use, and believe me, on this bike it is a necessity. see adaptivtechnologies.com/gear/tpx-radar-detectorLicense plate brake lights - Extra Safety and Visibility ($78) see pirateslair.net/Blazer.htmFrame Mounted Helmet lock keyed to bike - see pirateslair.net/HelmetlockS.htm ($95)Sidestand “pad” to prevent tipover on softer surfaces - makes the sidestend more stable.Check my feedback and bid with confidence - I have a stellar sales rep on Ebay - I have purchased 2 vehicles on ebay and sold a boat and a couple of motorcycles in the past. All good transactions.$500 cash deposit REQUIRED via paypal at time of winning bid - this ensure you are real and that you actually show up to complete the sale.Cash only for the remaining amount, in hand, when the item is picked up. =================== From the BMW Website:The interceptor. The athlete. Aerodynamic, avant-garde. Do you know of another sporty bike with this profile? A bike that develops such pulling power with 175 hp that it take the heat out of many a 200 hp bike? But a bike you can still take out on a quick trip simply because it has great everyday suitability? At the same time a technological treat? The reasons: 103 ft-lb of torque from 1,293 cc – and at 8,250 rpm too. With a throaty sound from a cool, hexagonal tube. With catalytic converter and exhaust valve. And with fuel consumption and exhaust emission values which would suit many a machine with half the dynamic performance. With this jet, the whole concept of speed moves into a new dimension. This in-line 4-cylinder delivers its power in such a way that you can almost feel it when standing still. That’s because within the engine speed ranges in which you move more than 80% of the time – i.e. the lower and medium speed ranges – it delivers performance from the first yard. The real thing. And in terms of safety features, this machine is unique: ABS as standard with ASC and ESA optional. And the extras are amazing: race through the gears with the automatic shift function, Engine TypeWater-cooled 4-stroke in-line four-cylinder-engine, four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts, dry sump lubricationBore x stroke80 mm x 64,3 mmCapacity1.293 ccmRated output175 hp (129 KW) at 9,250 rpmMax. torque103 ft-lb (140 Nm) at 8,250 rpmCompression ratio13.0 : 1Mixture control / engine managementElectronic intake pipe injection/digital engine management including knock sensor (BMS-K)Emission controlClosed-loop 3-way catalytic converter, emission standard EU-3Performance / fuel consumption Maximum speedOver 125 mph (200 km/h)Fuel consumption per 100 km at constant 90 km/h50 mpg, at a constant 55 mphFuel consumption per 100 km at constant 120 km/h Fuel typeUnleaded premium only.Electrical system Alternatorthree-phase alternator 580 WBattery12 V / 12 Ah, maintenance-freePower transmission ClutchMultiple-disc clutch in oil bath, hydraulically operatedGearboxConstant mesh 6-speed gearboxDriveShaft driveChassis / brakes FrameBridge-type frame, cast aluminum, load-bearing engineFront wheel location / suspensionBMW Motorrad Duolever; central spring strutRear wheel location / suspensionCast aluminum single-sided swing arm with BMW Motorrad Paralever; central spring strut with lever system, spring pre-load adjustable hydraulically (continuously variable) at handwheel, adjustable rebound dampingSuspension travel front / rear4.5/5.3 inches (115 mm/135 mm)Wheelbase62.4 inches (1,585 mm)Castor4.1 inches (104.4 mm)Steering head angle60,4°WheelsCast aluminumRim, front3,50 x 17"Rim, rear6,00 x 17"Tyres, front120/70 ZR 17Tyres, rear190/55 ZR 17Brake, frontTwin disc, floating brake discs, diameter 320 mm, 4-piston fixed calipersBrake, rearSingle disc brake, diameter 265 mm, double-piston floating caliperABSStandard equipment: BMW Motorrad Integral ABS (part-integral)Dimensions / weights Length85.9 inches (2,182 mm)Width (incl. mirrors)35.6 inches (905 mm)Height (excl. mirrors)48 inches (1,221 mm)Seat height, unladen weight32.3 (820 mm) low seat: 31.1 (790 mm)Inner leg curve, unladen weight Unladen weight, road ready, fully fuelled 1)560 lbs (254 kg)Dry weight 2)503 lbs (228 kg)Permitted total weight1,014 lbs (460 kg)Payload (with standard equipment)573 lbs (206 kg)Usable tank volume5 gallons (19.0 liters)ReserveAppro
