Vehicle Detail
Up for grabs is my 1985 Cabriolet. The car runs and drives like a champ and has been on several road trips over the summer. This is a PROJECT CAR however. I started the build-up and do not have time to finish. It has a JH code 1.8 motor and 4K trans(close ratio). Just recently tuned up and the original fuel injection works great. I will try to list all of the items that need to be finished/replaced. Top was replaced last year but has developed a small tear on top by the back seat. Speedo/odometer does not work i shift by rpms. Coolant temp sensor likes to act up and needs to be replaced(approx. 20 bucks) but the car does not overheat. Does not have a blower motor installed and it is running antique plates so it does not have to have one for VA state inspection. Small crack top right of the windshield. Hood is in primer but wouldnt be too hard to do yourself. Quarter sized rust spot next to fuel filler(this car does not have any sort of rot or cancer in the body it was repainted 3 years ago by a friend of mine). Shaved side marker lights at repaint. Tires are serviceable for now but starting to get a little rot on them. CD player was stolen and the dash bezel piece was broken that housed it and the heat controls. Lowered with a cup kit approx 2 in the front 1.5 in the back. Magnaflow muffler installed and sounds good not too loud. Like i said its a running project that could use a little help and finishing touches for spring/summer next year. I am the 4th owner of this vehicle to my knowledge and the motor has been replaced in the past with a lower mileage example. A deposit of 500 dollars will be required within 4 days of auction close, with the balance due paid in full prior to the car and title changing hands. E mail me with any questions and i will be happy to answer. I will not deliver and it can be driven. No refunds will be given so make sure you want it. No trades accepted. Thanks for looking!
