I am listing my own 1993 Mercedes Benz 300 SE with about 173,000 miles because I purchased another vehicle — I usually don't keep my cars too long anyway, I like to play with them. I was suppose to sell this Mercedes about 6 months ago for a very good friend of mine, but I fell in-love with the car because its incredible shape and condition! In particular because the A/C works very well (living in Florida is a very good thing to have!), and it has a 6 cylinder engine instead of the more common gas guzzler V8 version. From what I understand Mercedes enthusiasts like the 300 SE's because they consume up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway which is not too bad considering its size! The story behind this Benz is a bit fascinating. From what I understand my friend was the second owner and he sold it to another friend of his about 15 or 20 years ago in Clearwater, Florida. When his friend told him that he was selling the Mercedes, my friend decided to buy it back - that's how much he loved this Mercedes! But, about 6 months ago he married (I was the best man!!), and purchased a new home with no room for his true love of his life, his Benz:) He resides within my neighborhood now. Always garaged kept until recently, very well maintained (have all records), this Benz runs like a new car and is extremely smooth and quite. Actually, I have to say that this is probably one of the best luxury cars that I have ever owned. Anyone who gets in this car can't believe the age or its miles. Just in case you are wondering about the miles, know that these vehicles are known to easily reach between 300 to 400 thousand miles! So one can say that it still has half of its life left! Also, most are highway miles which is probably one of the reasons why is holding up so well. This Benz needs nothing, runs great, and it's ready to go anywhere. However, front disk brakes should be changed in the near future for they are a bit warped, so I leave it to the new owner to replace them if need to. The front driver side lens is broken (see photos). I broke this not too long ago at a Publix parking lot (it's a big car!), but all lights work. I am confident that one can find a replacement lens here in eBay for not too much money. The paint is all original, but it has some blemishes here and there including very light dings. One on the trunk side, and another on the passenger side rear door. The tires are Michelin and they have about 70% to 80% left of them. Upgraded to a new high output iPhone/Bluetooth voice activated stereo system which works quite well... It cost nearly $550.00 with installation charges, and it moves the factory Bose speakers well - good sound! The battery is about 7 months old and it has a built-in plug-in charger unit for those wishing to store the car longer than usual! To sum it up, this is a very nice Mercedes Benz at a fraction of a cost of a new one. Still looks modern, has presence, it's very reliable, solid & safe, decent gas milage, and ready to go to a new home! Feel free to contact me with any questions and thanks for looking!
