Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1975 Honda chopper. Numbers matching, clear title in hand in my name. I built this bike for me, for a rigid run to Sturgis with my buddies, with zero intention of ever selling. But, reluctantly, life got in the way and my bike and I need to part ways. I know lots of people put bikes up for sale and claim, "gets looks everywhere", but its no joke on my bike. Every gas station, every bar hop, all over Sturgis, young and old, everyone wants to reminisce, or look at, or snap a shot of this bike. Bike was built this spring. Ridden about 2500 miles since, including an 1100 mile round trip Sturgis run. Everything that should be new was new, everything that should be old is old. Frame is a copy of a Denvers with the double barrel shotgun down tubes. Stretched and raked. Long and low. Frame paint is a base coat/clear coat that shines nicely. 16" Shinko dual white on the back. Drop center Harley wheel laced to a hand polished Honda hub, by me, with stainless spokes and nipples. Front 21" Avon Speedmaster on a unique hexagon spoolie hub. 14" over springer with the twisties in the front legs. Square cut springs. Twists lead into the bars, pegs, kickstand and foot controls. Strong running stock bore 750 with fresh cover gaskets. Good compression on all 4. Beautiful chrome on the valve cover. Several chromed pieces on engine including the coveted finned side covers. Stainless Allen hardware throughout engine, ending the stripped out phillips head plague. Carbs jetted correctly for engine set up and for around here, may need to be re-jetted depending on where the bike ends up. Cone air pods. Custom one off, completely stainless exhaust. Where have you seen that set-up before? Custom oil tank, custom oil lines, old chopper chrome oil filter housing. Dyna coils and 8mm spark plug wires that could start a forest fire if not cautious. Fresh points ignition cause you can't fix shorted electronic ignition on the side of the road. Upgraded solid state regulator/rectifier. Nickel plated O-ring chain. Chrome rear sprocket, new front sprocket. New coffin tank with relocated chrome petcock to drain every last drop for that midnight run. White leather, not pleather, not leatherette, leather bates style seat and p-pad stitched up by Plain Jane Rollers. Beautiful work. Look them up. Monster sissy bar that held my spare fuel keg on our trip. I have spent forever digging up the right parts for this build. This is not a "rat bike". Pride and care was taken in all aspects of this build. Selected best metric at Broken Spoke Campground during the Chop-in Block Bike show. Its hard to show it in the pics, but the paint is House of Color Moss Green over black. There are layers and layers and layers of candy and flake. Couple coats of clear. Then some extensive, but tasteful, period correct 3 tone pinstriping done by an old schooler that lives to stripe. Every piece of tin has a design. Then everything is buried in clear again. Wet sanded until glass. Check the paint shots. In person, and in the sun the paint is blinding. You will not be mistaken for anybody else on this bike. I ride this bike. This is no trailer queen. This is no show bike. Bikes are built to be ridden. It has a few very minor paint chips, it has a few very minor oil leaks/seeps. This bike is old. This bike screams. Everything works. And by everything, I mean the throttle, the brake, the headlight and the taillight. This is a pure chopper. No frills. Kick start only. No starter. Every wire on the bike has been meticulously soldered and heat shrunk. Every circuit has a breaker. I have ridden in more than one downpour with zero electrical issues. This bike is a workout to ride. This bike will break you or make you a better man. If you are wearing khakis while you are reading this, please look for another bike. If you are sick and tired of having the same bike everyone else does and you want to be different, look no further. I have more money in paint and parts than my buy it now price. This bike is worth every penny. You cannot replicate this bike for what you can buy it for. Top off the tank, kick it to life, forget everything else. Bike sold as is, where is, with no warranty. No reserve set on this bike. It will sell to the highest bidder. Winning bidder is responsible for any and all shipping arrangements and costs. I can be present when the truck arrives. If you have less than 5 feedback, please contact me before bidding or your bid may be cancelled. Bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to pull the ad at any time if a local sale presents itself. Don't waste my time and I won't waste yours. Bid fair and bid often. Please contact me with any questions. 763-439-7060 Thanks
