You are bidding on a 1980 Shay Reproduction of the 1929 Model A Deluxe Roadster. We're sad to see it go, but were moving and won't have the garage to store her in. We are located about 30 miles east of San Francisco. This Car has been nothing but fun! We have driven it across the Golden Gate Bridge to have lunch in the Marin headlands, down Lombard Street. And our regular family picnics up Mt. Diablo (elevation 3849 feet). It has always function flawlessly. This has been a two owner car since it was originally sold in 1980. Shay was to manufactur the following body styles and quantities for his Model A: 500 Deluxe Roadsters (twin spare mounts), 1,928 Deluxe Roadsters (left spare mount), 6,641 Standard Roadsters (rear spare mount). In reality, few Standard models were produced and much more Super Deluxe models were, because that's what the buyers were asking for. A total of 5,000 Roadsters were produced before they halted production in 1982. $1000 Deposit due immediately after auction ends. We have the right to end the auction at any time. This vehicle is for sale locally. If you are truly interested please feel free to call. This car was completed in 1980 and is titled as a 1980. The engine is an inline 4 cylinder that runs strong. It is attached to a “4 on the floor” manual transmission. This car starts up strong and drives very well. The underside has Clean with no corrosion. Super Clean California Car. The boot is in great shape and keeps the car looking sharp. The top and side curtains are completely intact. However the top was stored in the attic and fabric is dried and not serviceable. New tops are available inexpensively. The black interior goes nicely with the cream exterior. The front bench seat is vinyl and has some minor cracking . The back rumble seat is like new. The cream painted dash looks great. The instrument panel includes water and fuel. Also equipped for your comfort, is the Blaupunkt FM/AM CD Player. Both black vinyl door panels are in good shape with no splits or rips and storage pockets in both. The “oooogaaa” horn works perfectly. Never fails to get a smile! The car is clean but not perfect, I never found the time to restore to like new. I instead enjoyed driving it. The Exterior is in great shape. The cream paint looks fantastic with a couple of very small, barely noticeable chips. The chrome trim also looks great. The Fiberglass body has been well taken care of. It has a side mount spare, full spare tire! The tires are 5.25/5.50 – 18 wide white walls. All of the tires have lots of tread, you can even see the numbs on the front tires. The wheels are chromed spokes. Both chrome bumpers are very bright and shiny and have no pitting or dings. The odometer shows 15,320 miles. This car is currently smoged and registered in California.
