Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my very rare and all original 1955 Buick Century 2 door hardtop (no post). This car has a great running 322 Nailhead with the original rebuilt Dynaflow automatic transmission. All electrical has been gone through and all lights/signals work as they should. The speedo works as well. The car is 99% rust free and has NO bondo. I had some panels made (metal panels welded in) before the car was painted. This car is 99.99% complete. Ive got duplicates of almost all of the chrome, The rear bumper( not pictured, was removed to clean out the gas tank) ive got the dash pad (not pictured) two sets of hubcaps, 1 original set one aftermarket as shown. The car has a brand new windshield and seal (550$) and all of the brakes have been done. I drove it to the carwash last weekend and it drove great and stopped great. I have all of the door handles and window cranks. I think the only pieces missing are the hood ornament and the BUICK letters on the front of the hood. The only thing this car needs is the interior. I have a shop here in Austin that I use and they quoted 1700$ for complete interior including:carpet, headliner, doorpanels, front and rear seats, and carpet in the trunk. If the buyer is interested I can have it done for an additional 1700 in the color of your choice. The rear seat is original and in decent shape and I have the front door panels as well to be used as tempelates. All glass is in great shape and all wondows roll up and down as they should. The car will need an ignition cylinder in the dash, the latch for the hood to be adjusted and the accelerator pedal to be secured. None of which currently prevent the car from running and driving. The car started in arizona and made its way here and has been in a shop or garage most of its life. I currently do not have the title but ive gotten the bonded process started and could have the title in 4-6 weeks. Some states dont require a title for classics so I will write up a bill of sale as well to the new owner. This car truly is one of a kind and I will add to the description if I miss anything which im sure I have. Happy Bidding!!!!! Feel free to call or text 512-965-5675. Nick On Oct-30-12 at 05:14:16 PDT, seller added the following information:I have been getting questions about the 3 portholes instead of 4. To tell you the truth im not really sure how that happened! Dash and emblems say century so im led to believe the 4th hole was removed bc the quarters look like a match to the car. Thanks! On Oct-31-12 at 19:26:49 PDT, seller added the following information:For clarification I have double checked the body tag and the style # shows as 55-4439 which is a Buick Special/Riviera Sedan. Sorry for the confusion. Happy Bidding!!!
