Yes, this 2003 Ford Excursion has a Cummins in it!!!! The engine came out of a 1993 350 Dodge dually, and it was totally rebuilt before being installed in the Excursion. The motor has approximately 30K miles since the rebuild. Everything on the truck is in working condition EXCEPT for the cd player, power mirrors, and the power rear tip out windows. These small imperfections are certainly repairable, however I just never got around to fixing them. The interior is in very good shape with the driver’s side seat having the most wear and tear. The truck body has 153K miles on it. The Cummins was installed with an adapter plate that marries the Cummins to the original Ford transmission, which allows the 4x4 to work, as well as both a/c units and all the components on the truck. The oil pressure, alternator, and water temperature gauges are no longer in the gauge cluster, but are now a separate unit, as pictured. There are a few warning lights on the dash, but that is from the computer not recognizing the replacement Cummins engine, however, I will try to turn them off before the truck is sold. The truck has a straight pipe on it that comes out in the original position behind the rear right tire. I am getting rid of this black beauty because the family is all grown up and we have purchased another Dodge dually, so this truck MUST GO. The truck is VERY RELIABLE, although it is not a speed demon. It will run 80 mph on the highway, even though it gets the best gas mileage around 70mph, obtaining around 18.5mpg.
