We listed this vehicle last month on Ebay for a buy it now price of $2k. (Yes, we have more than that invested.) There was a lot of action and the final high offer was $1,600. We accepted and waited for the transaction to take place. Didn't happen, so here it is back, but at the $1,600 apparent market value on Ebay. No auction, just buy it. I am thinking some kid would love to finish this ride up - a perfect first car for sure - maybe for Christmas. Per our brief homework - The 67 is the first 12 volt plus non-smog or complex hardware. In Cal, especially LA, the solid body alone goes for $2k plus. If someone wants to throw in some seats and paint the outside, the value is at least double your investment..............We are in the research business, not the car business, so go for it. Here is a car that does appreciate and is a treat when the fuel prices go up. On our test run, we logged 34 MPG stock without modifications - amazing for a 1967 production vehicle. Okay, more info for you - This vehicle is test project NV 161. It was used for engineering research. We brought the vehicle up to mechanical standards, then we sent it out on a 1,141 mile round trip for test data. Project is complete and the car is still here. As you can see, we use it for a shuttle to carry parts around town. Amazing fuel mileage and very handy for hauling parts with only a driver's seat. Our web site relative to this work is SandmoodisRED.com The front end parts that can wear have all been replaced with new. The engine had 10,000 miles on it direct from Germany. It now has about 13,000 miles on it, plus we do drive this car everyday. The engine is up to standards with all new ignition, seals, valve adjustments, etc. The tires and brakes are fine. The original interior was completely removed and thrown into the dumpster for our test work equipment and the current use as a shuttle.
