Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my personal 1975 Honda CB 750. The motorcycle has a correct 7060 miles. I am the third owner and I hold a clear Texas title. I bought the bike 4 years ago. It had been setting for about one year. The throttle cable was broke and the carbs were gummed up. I removed the carbs, cleaned the points, hooked up a battery and fired up the motor on spray carb cleaner. The motor sounded great. At this point I started the restoration. Here's what was done: The motor was plugged and taped off, bead blasted and resilvered. Left side cover and valve cover were polished and clear coated. The frame was stripped, bead blasted and repainted Lower fork legs and wheel hubs were polished and clear coated All parts that were originally chrome plated were replated Wheels were re-laced with stainless spokes and nipples and received new rim strips, tubes and tires Handlebar controls were blasted and repainted New grips, cables, and chain Seat pan repainted Turn signal and tailight lenses were polished Carbs disassembled and cleaned, petcock rebuilt, wiring harness and all connections were cleaned Front mastercylinder was rebuilt as well as the front brake caliper which also received a new stainless piston The Flake Apricot Red is the original paint. There are two small scratches on the tank near the seat. I could not bring myself to strip and redo such a good original. The seat is the original. The strap showed wear so I replaced it but still have the original. New reproduction decals - helmet holder, battery hook-up, exhaust and side cover The mufflers do not have baffles. After the exhausts were replated I installed the end caps from another set. So it has the look of a set of mufflers with baffles All electricals checked out after assembly New battery - acid has not been added This motorcycle has never been started since being restored and has never been rolled out of the shop. It sets with a cover over it. I'm sure I have overlooked listing many of the little things done. Please feel free to call me or come inspect the motorcycle. Call Gary @ 903-365-2611. No emails please. The reserve on this motorcycle is 6800.00. Thank you for your interest. Note: winning bidder is responsible for any shipping arrangements. Payment in cash only when you pick up the bike.
