Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1974 chevy nova 2 door muscle car. It was my first car and I've owned it for over 20 years. It mostly started out as a father-son project and I learned a LOT about older cars and motors working on it. THE GOOD: It has a 400 cid small block chevy engine bored .40 over with H&S machine shop complete service($1500). Ground/polished cast crank, Keith Black flat top aluminum pistons, reconditioned stock rods, Comp cams magnum roller rockers 1.5 ratio, Comp cams 292 magnum cam and lifters(radical lope), Comp pro magnum pushrods, PBM double roller steel timing chain, TRICK FLOW aluminum 64cc heads $1K, Holley street dominator manifold, Holley 600cfm carb, Accel super coil, plugs, and 300+ wires, Flowtech long tube headers, 3 inch custom dual exhaust with Super 40 series Flowmaster mufflers(DEEP/LOUD!), 304 stainless 3.5 inch tips, B&M street/strip transmission TH350 ($1K), B&M holeshot torque converter 24-3200 stall, B&M quicksilver slap shifter, Competition engineering sub frame conncectors(bolt-on), and traction bars, Extra hi lift leaf springs, Richmond 4.10 ring and pinion, Grant aluminum steering wheel, Summit racing seats, GM bowtie mirrors, Magnum chrome alternator 80 amp 1 wire, RARE OEM back bumper(NOT RECHROMED) beautiful bumper! It also has Centerline convo pro polished aluminum 15x7 rims with NEW Mickey Thompson street tires on them $500 from Summit racing with zero miles. 70's front, 60's rear. New Summit radiator, new master cylinder and front brakes, lines. Hi flow water pump. I have over $7k in receipts. THE BAD: It is time for body work again. I have a new quarter for the driver's side in my attic, but don't have the welding skill to attach it. The fenders are pretty solid but could use patches or body work. I am not a body guy. We could get it straight enough to shoot some bright orange or red paint on but that was it. See photo. We had it looking really good a couple of times and it turned a lot of heads! There is a hole in the driver's side rear frame rail. They have these on Ebay and summit for around $289, but again we lack the welding skills. The passenger side rail still looks good. The floor pans are good. The trunk pan could be replaced and needs new gas tank strap attached. The tank is newer. We have the original door panels and trim. Those are just aluminum pressed covers on the doors now. There are other areas on the car that need attention. We started some bondo body work on it this past fall (photos) but had to stop because of the weather. Also, time is a big issue. We work 6 days a week and don't have time to work on cars like we used to. This would make a great project for a body man or you could swap the drivetrain out and put it in some other muscle car- chevelle, camaro, vette, etc. and sell this one as a roller. I know the rims and tires would probably go on anything from 68-78. The car is for sale locally "AS-IS". No warranty. This nova is quick and will burn the tires until you left off the gas! Please email me with any questions or call 260-665-6752. It is located at 55 Lane 220 West Otter Lk, Angola, Indiana, 46703 if you want to come and check it out. Clear title and 100% positive feed back. Thanks for looking! Bill
