This car is my daily driver and is in very nice condition. I don't plan on driving this car during a South Dakota winter and will either sell it or place it in storage. If you would like an undamaged and fine 1998 BMW convertible this may be the best available. This car runs perfectly, uses no oil, leaks no fluids and drives down the road like a new vehicle. The tires are new as of 5,000 miles ago and I have meticulously maintained this vehicle. If you want a nice car that will only appreciate and is fun, this is the car.On Oct-28-12 at 10:38:25 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTENTION BIDDERS:Earlier this week, I received several requests to show the car with the top down. When I unlocked the car only the driver's door unlocked rather than both doors. At the same time the light went out on the button to lower the automatic top. I found a blown fuse, replaced it, and it blew again when I tried to open the doors. The BMW dealership looked at it and said there was a cable that was causing the short.Currently the only items that are not working are the power door locks and the roof will not retract. While I have tried to see if I can solve this I'm not mechanical enough to dig into it.If you are interested and mechanically inclined, feel free to make me an offer. However, please know that at this point if the car sells it will have to sell in its as-is condition.Everything else on this car is exceptional; paint is glossy, top is original and I have taken a picture of one small cut that has been repaired -- it is about half the size of a dime. I have replaced the rear vinyl window, the head lamps were yellow inside and out so I replaced them. The floor mats are new and the carpet and seats are in great condition. The heat and A/C work great. I did also have the plastic reserve reservoir for the radiator replaced and have had all the fluids changed. The tires are all new Goodyear GTs and probably have about 5K on them. I also replaced the battery. It doesn't use any oil and doesn't leak any fluids.That being said, this is an exceptional car that runs and looks like one much newer.If you bid just be aware of the issue that is causing the fuse to blow. I also do not have the radio code and the radio would need be pulled to get the serial numbers so you could get the code.
