GORGEOUS 1979 ELDORADO RARE DIESEL EDITION COLONIAL YELLOW CABRIOLET ROOF WIRE CAPS: NR! Each plush six-way power seat has a power recliner as well. A sparkling set of rare and correct "Ben Hur" wire wheel covers really set it off! An unadulterated original example, it has been meticulously maintained by only two previous owners. The original 5.7 liter V8 diesel engine was replaced under warranty with a GM Goodwrench service replacement engine by the Cadillac dealership which sold the car new. The improved version corrected issues (too short head bolts for instance) which were discovered with initial models fitted with the novel engine. The new Goodwrench powerplants enjoy a stellar reputation for reliability and longevity. Recent other attentions include new belts, shocks, batteries (it takes two), and premium whitewall radials (invoice provided for $468). Receipt ($470) also included for September 2010 comprehensive transmission service with replacement of pan gasket. Power windows, AM/FM cassette stereo, tilt steering wheel, door locks and trunk release all work, as do turn signals, gauges, speedometer and odometer. Ride quality is really smooth and quite powerful, getting 26-29 MPG on highway and low twenties around town.
