1976 High performance Chevy Blazer with 1974 full top conversion. RAKED AND READY TO RACE! FOR SHOW, RACE or BOTH!!! Custom frame off resto/mod professionally done by "Innovative Street Rods" (AKA Hot Bods Custom Rods) in Lewiston, Idaho. PAINT (Painted by Scott Mclean of Innovative Street Rods- Lewiston, ID) Beautiful custom (base coat / clear coat) paint PPG Metallic Bright Blue Poly (with pearl flake ghost flames). Ghost flames are properly proportioned- starting at the hood (higher on the cowl section) and flow downward onto each fender- continuing onto each door. The flames end near the center of each L&R side door. The ghost flames were painted using pearl metal flake and are a longer/thin design not short/stubby style. The pearl metal flake flames react nicely to bright sunlight and have a hologram effect. The restoration was done in spring/summer of 2009. Removeable fiberglass top was painted to match body. SPECIFICATIONS (too much to list and I'm sure I will forget some things) Engine was professionally built by "Beck Racing" located in Carson City, NV. You can check them out at beckracing.net. Beck Racing specializes in alcohol injected engines and have a reputation for building some of the best high performance racing engines in the country. Nearly 10K invested in the engine alone... 454 block (.010 oversize bored with 427 3.76" crank, KB Pistons, cast iron (closed chambered) heads w/large exhaust ports. Has 427 shorter crank with normal size connecting rods with taller pistons. Currently running 115 octane fuel for optimum engine performance but will run on super unleaded gasoline. Engine was dyno'd at 725hp. Normal operating engine temp 180 to 210 degrees. 20W-50 Valvoline racing engine oil. Isky solid lifted cam, Edelbrock Victor JR 454 R "High Rise" aluminum intake, Holly 650 double pumper carb, Milodon steel gold iridite (low profile) 7 qt oil pan, Summit "Street & Strip " quiet gear drive. Summit billet aluminum timing cover, Aluminum radiator core w/DERALE electric racing fan, electric fuel pump, Mallory Pro Master Coil, Mallory Hyfire Micro Processor Controlled CD ignition system. Engine build was completed in 2007 and never raced. Just been driving to local car shows and has approximately 200 miles on the engine after rebuild. Estimated to run somewhere in the area of (11.00/11.99 sec) in quarter mile. Flowmaster exhaust mufflers. 4" monster dual exhaust w/cut-outs. 4" Cowl induction Harwood fiberglass hood. Inner metal fender skirts were removed to allow for better air flow and shave some weight. WHEELS Genuine Centerline Racing wheels. Front tires - "Signet" 165R15 87S. Rear tires - "Mickey Thompson" 29X15.5 -15LT. Front disc brakes, rear drum brakes. SUSPENSION Swaped out stock spindles with 2" drop spindles and custom "shorter" front coil springs. A custom "Competition Engineering" Ultra-tough 4-link suspension makes up the rear suspension. 4:11 gear ratio with 12 bolt POSI rearend. TRANSMISSION Custom built turbo 400 transmission. Manual valve body with reverse shift pattern. Hurst (ratchet shifter) quarter stick. INTERIOR New carpet, new cloth (black/gray) racing seats built on custom fabricated mounts. New door panels. New door weatherstripping. RCI "Racer Choice INC." 5 point harness safety belts. Tilt steering wheel. "Competition Engineering" 8 point NHRA - accepted roll cage. Roll cage needs inspected by NHRA at track to receive certification stamp/sticker. This Blazer turns heads! Lots of time and $$$ invested.
