Vehicle Detail

I have a 1983 nissan / datsun 720 king cab pick up for sale....matching goodyear tires all the way around with like new tread, cold air and good heat, runs and starts good....all lights and blinkers work, runs 70 mph down the interstate just fine....it does not smoke and has no leaks...very reliable truck as i used it for a spare and gas saver to my dually truck but seems to be using it more since I pull enclosed trailers most of the time....the only things I would consider bad is the paint is faded and has dings here and there for a 30 year old truck...and the previous owner back over something and pushed the bottom piece under the tailgate in some on one side but doesnt effect anything since the back up clear lights still work underneath...I have put about 6000 miles on it since i got and never has it gave me a minutes trouble...I wouldnt be scared to drive it anywhere....28.00 dollars to fill her up and gets 30 plus miles to the gallon....there is a radio in it but it didnt work when i got it...never checked it and it may just need to be hooked it...clear alabama title in hand......any questions or concerns please dont hesitate to ask....jump fold up seats are present in the king cab part....the seats and carpet are okay but could use cleaning or replaced....the odometer does work but it shows 94000 miles but title states exempt...comes with original jack and tool kit,and the floor mats as well that came original with this truck ...its all original except the radio...the glove box is all there..its a unmolested truck right down to the putt putt muffler and tail pipe....windows roll up and down just fine..wipers work as well....i am only the 4th owner on this jewel and you can be the 5th.....automatic choke still works great when starting...revs on colder morning then just pat the accelerator and she will idle with no giving it gas....its always been a alabama truck....previous owners were in huntsville, alabama and now it resides with me in ardmore,alabama.... after googling I found out the following on the datsun....its actually a 1983.5 or 1983 1/2 but title read 1983....comes with a 2.4 liter or some called it a z24 motor rather a 2.0 liter.......I added some history on datsun / nissan trucks The Datsun/Nissan 720 came in regular cab and "King Cab" models, with regular and long bed options. The King Cab proved very popular. The 720 was manufactured in the newly built Smyrna, Tenn plant from 1983.5 to 1986 Early (1980-1983) models had single wall beds with protruding side lips and rope ties, 2 faux hood vents, and tail lights on the lower rear valance. For a limited period, 1983.5-1984 models built in the USA had the single wall beds with rope ties, yet used tail lights on the rear bed corners with amber turn signals over the red stop/tail lights while the backup lights remained under the tailgate. The front end underwent transformation as well, with a larger grill, bumper, and corner lights. There was also a revised dashboard with round instead of square gauges. At the same time, the regular cab was lengthened slightly and the air extractor vents behind the cab doors changed from the high "flag" look to long, narrow ones that matched the height of the window opening. The cab of King Cabs was unchanged. The Datsun 720 was available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations, although prior to 1984 the front suspension in 4WD models was an adaptation of the 2WD suspension. The 1981-1982 models used the Z22 carbureted 2.2L engine and an optional SD22 Diesel. In mid-1983 Nissan introduced the Z24 2.4 Liter, Z20 2.0 Liter and the SD25 Diesel; this happened at the same time that the 720 series was marketed as a Nissan (the Datsun name, which had disappeared entirely after 1984, was now only seen below the Nissan name on the left corner of the tailgate). The Datsun name on the truck body was changed to Nissan in January, 1983 (which signified the start of mid-year 1983 production). If your '83 720 reads NISSAN loudly, then it is technically an '83.5 model: Z20 (NAPS-Z 2.0 liter I-4): 1983.5-1985 Z24 (NAPS-Z 2.4 liter I-4): 1983.5-early 1986
