I have had this great little care for about a year and a half. I put a lot of time and money into it. I loved driving it daily back and forth to work and I really loved the savings at the diesel pump once every couple of weeks. The block cracked about six months ago and, except for a quick tow the mechanics to confirm the problem, has been sitting. I would love to keep it and replace the engine some day, but that could be a long way off, so I am going to let it go. I did do some digging and I found some engine blocks both on eBay and Craigslist for a reasonable amount ($200-$500). As you can see from the pictures, the body is in great shape. The guy I bought it from put a lot of money into it, but had to give it up for medical reasons. From the records he gave me from his ownership and the ownership of the original buyer, the mileage is currently somewhere between 105k-110k, though the odometer does roll at 100k. This is the deluxe version so it has leather interior (mint condition) and air conditioning (compressor & controls work, but the hoses will need to be replaced). I will list some of the maintenance that has been done in the last few years (I have records for all of it). On Oct-19-12 at 21:36:08 PDT, seller added the following information: {EDIT} I have had some questions about rust; these cars tend to rust out around the wheel wells and in the strut towers. This thing is in great condition with only a slight amount of surface rust on the rear corners. The strut towers are perfect. I have added pictures of both as well as the engine compartment (the head has been removed and is in the trunk).
